I am getting ready to go through some of the blogs I read on a daily basis and leave a few comments on their site and work on a few promotional things for the tanning salons and the limousine business, basically I have a pretty busy day with a few things I enjoy shoved in the middle.
As I opened my browser window to get my feed reader fired up and check on my Twitter messages I became highly alarmed when I realized Twitter was down, up until this point in my day I had been using Uber Twitter to tweet. I returned from my quick break and a lapse of tweeting only to find out that my first message sent on Seesmic was a no go, than I went to Twitter.com to try and tweet from there. No luck, Twitter is down and it sucks.
10 Reasons it Sucks when Twitter Goes Down
- Can’t see all the good food everyone is having for lunch
- Can’t tweet the amazing special currently going on at Extreme Tan and Smoothies
- Can’t send picture tweets with Uber Twitter of how annoying my bulldog is being
- Can’t complain about the heat and humidity and actually get a response
- Can’t see the hottest Twitter trending topics
- Forced to actually use a search engine for interesting articles
- Can’t share my latest video blog with my Twitter peeps
- Can’t read and retweet my favorite articles from today
- Can’t talk about UFC 101 with the MMA friends I have on Twitter
- Facebook, MySpace and other Social Media “stuff” just don’t do it for me
Twitter please come back online so I can go back to enjoying all the Tweetin I like to get in during the day, if you are not already following me on twitter and in the event that Twitter comes back online you can follow me @extremejohn on Twitter.

When I went to visit today I felt lost I was like wtf… twitter down… wtf?
But I manage pretty good without it I simply use the mian page of blogengage to find blogs to comment on. I’ve been pretty busy today and I’m sitting around 20 – 25 comments already!

It’s funny how simple things that you take for granted stop working and it screws up your routine. Like when you high speed internet connection is not working for hours, or your web hosting account is down… or even worse… if you only have access to one computer and your hard-drive crashes or something else happens that you have to take it into the repair shop. Yuk!

@Brian without a doubt it’s a great aid in getting more things done and reducing the work load.
@Doug still bad news on the Twitter and Facebook front, both of them are still slower than dirt and most Twitter apps don’t complete loading or work. GRR! Yes anything to do with the normal everyday comforts not being there, stinks.
@Karen I am having that same struggle, I find myself constantly having something to tweet and not being able to. It’s killing me.
@Klaus see if they were kickin the MAC Twitter would be back up instead of Twitter being down or slow responding for hours.

I was a little irked not to your level when I seen SOMEONE not you come by and add some irrelevant there’s a plugin for that after I done tons of things for them.I used to noticed that on many blogs. A person would work on a cool post and the person would come along and say oh you can turn right not just left or whatever 
But hey it’s all about OPEN feedback info etc.

first it was facebook that went down for me today. Wouldn’t let me on and I was freaking out cuz i just KNEW there was some important stuff to distract myself with while I was drinking my coffee

Twitaddict is a proper word for u.Hahahahaha. See the difference twitter made it to our life. I am still not that active on twitter as I never got any traffic from there. You know I find it as marketing place where eveybody markets their links or want others to market that for him/her. That is just me and what I feel about twitter. I will try to be more active on it and will make some good friends.

@Stiletto Sports Jen I never even tried to go to Facebook, I even tried to convince myself that I didn’t need Twitter and that I could live a life this way. Not true at all.
@Ricky there is a ton of marketing going on Twitter that is for sure, but there is also some excellent breaking news and trending topics that make the Twitter experience well worth it.
@Christa Bledsoe Twitter still isn’t acting right, nothing but stressful over here. At least Seesmic is working so I can utilize tweeting people, etc. Uber Twitter is working also as far as I can see.
Did anyone ever find out why twitter was down? I heard Facebook was having problems too.
I feel like I’m having withdrawal symptoms here. On the bright side, I did seem to get more work done.
Funny how fast we get addicted to things. A year ago, I thought twitter was stupid and today, I’ve really missed my twitter

Yes, I also was aware about Twitter downtime and was very frustrated with it. I even broke my pencil which was in my hand due to it. I thought my internet is giving trouble but came to know that only Twitter was having so many problems like the API issue.

@Cathy oh we do get addicted pretty quick, I liked Twitter as soon as I tried it for the first time, I like the marketing power behind it and branding ability as well. Hence my addiction.

@Typhoon yeah the API issue is a big, I rarely use “Twitter”, I use tons of Twitter tools and resources which are all of course screwed right now, even Uber Twitter. Just kills me.
I was not a big fan of Twitter but I’m trying to build up my follower list right now and I’m excited to see the response from my followers every time I made a tweet. When Twitter was down, I couldn’t tweet my post too.

I have to admit that I truly missed Twitter when it was down
I wanted to tell people stuff and I couldn’t. It was so weird – like when you have great news to tell people and you have to hold it in. I felt like I was going to explode
When it came back it was like I was breathing again. So what I discovered in all of this is that yes I am a twitterholic-
I feel the same way that you do that Facebook MySpace and all of the other social media is not like Twitter simply because of the interactiveness of Twitter. It’s like a giant chat room.
So glad it’s back online.

Unlike most everyone else commenting, I hardly use Twitter.. I’ve been slow at latching onto the craze (reckon that by the time I do, the fad’ll have passed) so I wasn’t even aware Twitter was down until reading this article

It also sucks to have to get your news second or third hand, instead of straight from the source from your friends on Twitter. Mostly though its sucks because it takes you out of your routine. It is almost as bad as having a computer problem.
I get ill when somebody messes with my routine.
