This is going to be a little different then the usual scheduled midnight post that I like to have ready to go each and every day on my blog in the fact that it’s now 6am and I am writing this post vs writing it last night. The main reason I am writing this post now is due to the fact that I just returned from meeting up with our kick ass Insane Limos driver Michelle and the Pinellas County Sheriffs Department, sounds like a good time so far doesn’t it?
Just to get any of my new readers caught up to speed on a few things around here I should probably mention the fact that I am the founder and blogging ceo behind Insane Limos, Inc. a limousine service provider based in the Tampa Bay area. Every once and a while I will post limo videos and pictures from different events, or in this case situations that might arise when it comes to providing limo service, if that kind of thing excites you please consider taking a moment to subscribe to my rss feed.
Now with that fun stuff out of the way here’s how this post unfolded….
Being a small business owner having a constant open line for my associates has always been something that is very important to me, I sleep with my phone next to my head so I don’t miss any important phone calls while I am catching zzzzzz’s. Yes, I sleep even though I think it’s a complete waste of time.
Around 3:30am Michelle who happened to be driving the Insane Limos pink H2 hummer limo, Michelle was pretty upset with how her limo run turned out last night and for very good reason. Everything had been going pretty smooth during Michelle’s run, a run that started out with all girls enjoying some of Tampa’s nightlife and having a great time. The fun came to an end when a bunch of guys using a party bus from another limousine company had the misfortune of their party bus breaking down during their bachelor party, they contacted the girls in our pink h2 (they knew each other) and asked if they would be able to join the party.
This is starting to seem like way too long of a post so I will get right down to it, basically the girls agreed to let the bachelor party join their party in the Insane Limos pink hummer. No biggie, this happens all the time in limo world. I will say that typically any time a different “group” joins an existing party there is always some sort of drama that unfolds, two weeks ago it was a fifteen person brawl that was prompted by a couple that joined the party and decided they were going to have some “play time” on someone else’s tab.
With less than one hour left in tonight’s run Michelle the driver smelled pot at which point she lowered the partition to remind everyone through the cloud filled car that smoking is a $500 charge, period. Michelle proceeded to put the partition back up and continue on her way, she was lucky enough to have the idiots that joined the group call her all kinds of names and say some really out of line shit to her… ahhhh class.
After arriving at the destination and terminating the run one hour early (drugs never allowed in the car), Michelle was greeted with some very classy handy work that the little assholes that joined the party were nice enough to leave behind. I tweeted a few of these pictures on Twitter as well as on my Facebook Fan Page, but wanted to save the rest for here. Trash bags don’t belong in limos, this burn in the seat says just how little class someone has.
If the trash bag move above didn’t convince you, maybe these two burns will. TRASH BAG!
If burning seats doesn’t prove your a trash bag I guess pouring beer on the floor and whipping it up with $100 pillows does.
The discolored floor would be from the beer and whatever else that is sitting on it.
Once you solidify that your one of the biggest pieces of shit on the planet by destroying the inside of a limo you have to top it off by trying to hide beer bottles…. on the outside of the limo, no worries this includes in the tire wells as well.
This picture sucks but all of the side windows had spit on them, this would include on the inside as well.
When your done burning seats with your blunt it can’t possibly be enough, you have to top that shit off by burning the seat with a lighter as well.
Ahhh, now that the seats are burnt, there’s beer on the floor and we have a plan for decorating the limo with beer bottles on the way out we should probably give this corner a quick gouge on our way out the door so that everyone can see just how pathetic of an excuse for human beings we really are.
Limousine Rental Tips
- Don’t invite losers.
- If your having a great party and others want to join you, tell them to follow you.
- If you feel sick, ummm ask the driver to pull over.
- Don’t invite losers.
- Make sure you have extra room on your credit card in the event your going to invite idiots, because it’s going to be expensive.
Now before I get out of here and before you leave a comment with your thoughts I want to add that this limo is scheduled for double runs today which means that I will need to beg a vinyl repair guy to fix the burns and I need to have a cleaner get the limo cleaned and sanitized before the runs begin. Should be a fun Saturday, looks like I should have been filming my “A Day in the Life of” series earlier, it certainly would have made for a much shorter post.

of course if we can’t get the vehicle repaired to make it to the two runs that changes everything, nothing like getting one limo ride and paying for three + damages.
I hope you have a hefty non-refundable deposit… and don’t have to chase them to pay the bill. Hopefully the girls learned a lesson? Because they are probably the ones who will wind up paying the bill, even though their “guests” probably did the majority of the damage. Although the puke could have been anyone.

@Heather@Making Money, without a doubt Heather your right, the bill will end up being footed by the girls because they contracted the limo.
I did just find out that the guys that joined the party actually reserved Andre (our other limo) twice and decided to just go with the pink h2 for the bachelorette party. So much for them not knowing the rules or the contract, also makes it easy to pass the news on to the Sheriff since we now know who joined the party because they called us first.

As for my Saturday starting off that way, ya know honestly it doesn’t shock me or surprise me, nothing does anymore when it comes to business. It really didn’t make me mad, I just think about the customers getting in their next, I want every ride to be perfect, not 98%. I think Michelle is doing fine, we talked last night when I met up with her and I explained my views on this type of stuff. She’s safe, idiot passengers were returned home safe, the rest is just business.
As for the shock of the bill, I actually was much nicer than I should have been or even could have been. Let’s just say I don’t want to be around when the signing party brings it up to the idiots that decided to burn the seats.

Each panel on those seats that were burned (all but one) will need a full replacement, pink vinyl = special order, two different shades of pink = double the special orders, not to mention the time to pull the seats apart and replace. First estimate from the limo builder was more like $7,000, but I will wait for the official on that.
You know I’ve been really shit faced as we all probably have, and our website even promotes NOT drinking and driving, but in this case, I guess I may have to add a page on drinking and vandalising, or drinking and stupidity, because drinking and driving is clearly not the only major problem with excessive drinking!
@My DUI Guide – DUI Prevention, there are just certain people that shouldn’t be allowed to hold a drink in their life, they turn into instant morons.
Nice work from those losers, guess it isn’t the first, nor will it be the last time you have to deal with that being a limo company owner (not that that makes it ok).

I live in nyc, up here, any cabbie will immediately kick you out for smoking, which is illegal inside of the cabs, and for puking, you’d be very very lucky for *just* getting kicked out. You know we have considered doing damage deposits on certain party types such as bachelor parties, bachelorette parties, and 21st birthdays because they are always on the more wild side of things. The only issue with that is when you charge a deposit up front in this state for those trips it limits the legal charges that can be filed for damage, in this case had we done a “security deposit” it would be something we would have to pursue as a company, instead of it being as much a “legal matter”.
@Extreme John, Hi John, makes sense. Being based in the UK I know that that strategy has worked for operators over here.

I just ran across Michelle’s post regarding this and it just made me sick to see the damage to that wonderful car. We had the honor of riding in it New Years Eve with our friends. What horrible people they are, with no respect for others property. I hope they are all made to pay their share for the damage. The girls used very poor judgement in letting them join their party, but they should have stepped up to the plate and notified the driver to drop the guys on the curb when they started destroying the Limo. How much is stupidity worth in their case???

They will be paying for their damage one way or the other, if not in a voluntarily manor it will come via a legal manor. Their problems are larger than this because they also assaulted another limo driver that night and trashed that party bus I mentioned above as well. The owner saw the pictures here and called us yesterday, he is beyond disgusted……. like most of us at this point.
I have just been in a limo once. Unfortunately I fell a sleep and dropped the champagne so I could have done something like that
Man… they are such a loser. Those guys are going to get “it” somewhere else since they have been treating people like this. By hearing names they called, I will probably ask them to get off. I agree to you that “Don’t invite losers.” is a good tip.

We have been able to avoid any lost runs as of yet, however we are still waiting on the upholstery people for a damage quote on the seats. We tried having it repaired first as a way to reduce the customers cost as well as ours, but sadly the damage in a few areas is too deep to patch or repair. I will be posting an update to this situation shortly
Oh man, the beauties of having a business that deals with people like that. There is nothing a comment above me has missed. My favorite was the mention of karma. I’ve learned to laugh at how rude people are and whisper karma… that’s right sucker…karma. If I still feel angry, I write on my rant/random blog. Feels great.

So how do you handle a charge like that. Is the customer’s credit card good for it? I would think most people wouldn’t have that much room on their card.

@steve, they canceled their card as we expected they would with the initial damage charge which was much less than the actual damage estimate total. I have a solid update coming with pictures and what not to get everyone caught up with where it’s at now.

Do you run an authorization for a damage deposit before picking people up (authorize an amount but not charge it, I think hotels do this?), and if so, can you then run a pre-authorized charge after the card is canceled? And is there anyway to go after someone after they cancel the card, short of going to court? Look forward to the update.
