Each week I try to post a few links to excellent blogging tips, business tips and information on social media sites that I came across during the week. I do this for a few reasons one of which is to share blogging information with newbie bloggers or business bloggers that are looking to create a greater online presence for their business.
When I first started this series I called it the Sunday Smash, which is basically my version of a mashup for the week and it gives me a chance to spread some Do Follow link luv on to other blogs that I read, in some cases those bloggers are nice enough to shoot me a few backlinks in return. I actively read over 500 blog posts over the course of the week on everything from business tips, SEO tips, blogging tips and of course some excellent blogs on mixed martial arts.

As for the Tan Tax, nothing surprises me with this country anymore. If they can brutalize cigs, booze, certain cars and whatever else it’s safe to say that no one will really care about the tan tax accept for the people that have to pay it and the small business it impacts.

@Anne, haha yeah there aren’t as many bloggers that take advantage of trying to send traffic to make top lists and stuff like that. I have been trading traffic for over 10 years, so I know the game of link luv and all of that good stuff pretty well. Hey if nothing else take advantage while everyone else slacks off.

09 will be remembered well because that was the year I discovered a comment on one of my blogs from this guy called Extreme John. Curious, I made my way over to your site and found a kindred spirit! It was through your blog that I discovered diTesco, Asswass, Constant Complainer, Doug Dillard, Tycoon Dan and a whole bunch of other cool bloggers. You were the impetus I needed to get my head out of my a** and start building relationships. So thanks, man, you really made a difference in this bloggers life. This is a nice piece. IMHO, It’s difficult to maintain a blog that doesn’t have a niche because there won’t be plenty of visitors. Maybe just your friends. But if a blog consistently talks about a particular topic, you will get a following. This is just my observation. So I think it will help if you choose a subject you are passionate about and talk about that.

Very good information here. Seems like you do a lot of reading. I feel like most people read one or 2 articles and they believe they can start posting like an expert. I believe you need to continue to expand your knowledge on blogging and SEO. I usually devote a couple hours a day on my blog. Probably only 10-30 minutes actually goes to writing it. The rest, I spend reading around. If it allows me, I post a comment as well. I wanted to write a Tip to bloggers on why they should not stop reading, but people don’t want to hear that they need to read more haha
