I’m not sure what it is but I seem to have more free time to put together blog posts for this blog and even my indoor tanning blog for my tanning salon business Extreme Tan and Smoothies. It seemed like it had been forever since I added a good list post here on ExtremeJohn.com and finally broke the shell with my recent “7 More Reasons You Suck at Twitter” post, now I’m back and loaded with another list post. I know, calm down it’s really not that exciting.
I wasn’t really sure what to title this post, I don’t really feel that anyone is ever going to search Google for “Hot Google Chrome Extensions”, especially with much more exciting terms like, “Best Google Chrome Extensions” or “Top Extensions for Google Chrome”. Those titles are easily more exciting and certainly more geared towards generating the search engine traffic.
Anyway, the list of Google Chrome extensions below is nothing more then a list of the Google Chrome extensions I use on a daily basis. Maybe you will find something useful.
Google Chrome Extensions
1. 1Password Extension
I recently wrote how important the 1Password extension is to me. I thought I was trapped to a life of limited Safari extensions because I use this password manager so much that I must have an extension. This 1Password extension might not offer all of the functions that the Safari extension offers but it’s still a big life saver.
2. After the Deadline
After the Deadline helps me through my terrible grammar and spelling issues.
3. Alexa Traffic Rank
I’m not really sure why I use the Alexa traffic rank extension for Google Chrome, I honestly haven’t written about or talked about my Alexa rank in forever. Back in the day I couldn’t stop writing about ways to increase Alexa rank, heck I even started an Alexa review chain to increase Alexa rankings within the community.
4. Chrome SEO
Google Chrome extension Chrome SEO provides specific site details about the various blogs and websites that I visit. it’s a great way to see if our competition is having any success with those online marketing campaigns.
5. Chrome Milk
My reliance on Remember the Milk is huge. I have the online version, the Remember the Milk app on my Android smart phone and of course the Chrome Milk Google Chrome extension. Remember the Milk is a must have for any small business owner.
6. Facebook Photo Zoom
I hate clicking on tiny thumbnails to get larger pictures, Facebook Photo Zoom Google Chrome extension keeps me from clicking any thumbnails on Facebook. Not to mention it works on a few other sites as well.
7. Fast You Tube Search
Gives you a quick clickable You Tube icon that takes you right to an instant search field for You Tube. Fast You Tube Search Google Chrome extension.
8. Fastest Chrome – Browse Faster
Save time and enhance your productivity! Get quick definitions, auto-load next pages, search faster, and more. Fastest Chrome is perfect for the hard working small business owner that wants to reduce the extra clicking and actions when looking for information on the web.
9. Google Chrome to Phone Extension
This is one of those Google Chrome extensions that is a must have if you have smart phone. Send email address’s, contact info, websites, and more right from your desktop to your cell phone, this is really handy for phone numbers that you receive via email and need to add to your phone. Google Chrome to Phone extension is a MUST have, stop what youre doing and get the app/extension combo right now. 
10. Google Mail Checker
Google Chrome GMail Checker extension does exactly what it says it does, it checks for new email messages if you use Gmail.
11. Google Similar Pages Beta (by Google)
Google Similar Pages Google Chrome extension will show similar pages to the one you are currently browsing. This can be a real time saver.
12. Google Voice (by Google)
I honestly can’t believe I’m not already 20 posts deep confessing my love for Google Voice free phone service by Google. I use Google Voice as my main phone number now and it’s awesome, maybe I’ll have a post in the near future. Anyway, the Google Voice Chrome extension is awesome. It alerts me to new messages without me needing to touch my phone, this includes text messages and voicemail messages that Google Voice transcribes. I never check voicemail and thanks to Google Voice I may never have to again.
13. Measure It
Draw out a ruler that will help you get the pixel width and height of any elements on a webpage. Measure It Google Chrome extension.
14. Web Developer
Adds a toolbar button with various web developer tools. The official port of the Web Developer extension for Firefox.
15. HootSuite Hootlet
Hoot Suite is my weapon of choice for managing all of my social networking profiles including my small business social networking profiles for Extreme Tan and Smoothies. The HootSuite Hootlet allows me to promote, schedule and share information quickly, and easily. I couldn’t live without the HootSuite Hootlet Chrome extension.
16. Dual View
Google Chrome Dual View extension is a must have for anyone that works with multiple tabs at one time, it certainly made doing my NFL predictions and UFC predictions much easier.
17. Zemanta
The Zemanta Google Chrome extension makes adding tags and linking key words within your articles easy, a great tim saver.
There you have it, 17 of my favorite Google Chrome extensions. At least for now.

Is the 1Password the same with roboform? I am not satisfied with roboform that’s why I am searching for a more dependable password manager software.

I honestly don’t know how I lived without being able to use 1Password, no fun. They need some more functionality added to the current Chrome extension but it’s a great start.

Great selection there John, I think I’m using most of them already, my personal favourite is the Zemanta extension, it’s just makes my blogging that so much easier when looking for site to cross reference

How do you get Google Chrome to remember what you have typed but without the auto complete option?
I use FF, but sometimes using Chrome.
I noticed Chrome is faster sometimes, but i stick to FF, i am a die hard fan of FF =D
I use some of extensions above in the lists, the newest is Zementa. Love it!

P.s. You might want to consider taking advantage of the Keyword Luv plugin that I use here when commenting. Instead of Place for Bloggers which typically would automatically get moved to the spam folder here. Try “YourName @ Place for Bloggers” it will link Place for Bloggers to your blog and trap that keyword offering you a better quality DO Follow backlink (assuming you comment 3x).
I have been using Chrome for a while and have installed the SEO extension, but I am not familiar with the others. I will try some of these out. Thanks for another great post with useful information.
