It’s not very often that we get to bust out our spiffy gear and get snazzed up for a celebration around here. As a matter of fact the only blog milestones I have really ever mentioned here were when I reached 300 Twitter followers and again when I reached 500 Twitter followers.
It’s actually pretty funny that I have celebrated silly crap like hitting 300 or 500 twitter followers, yet I have never mentioned 50, 000 or even 250,000 visitors which the site reached over the weekend. You can add not celebrating 1000 or even 3000 twitter followers to the list of things I have missed celebrating here as well.
When you have a blog I think it’s important to make note of your blog milestones, it makes you feel good and it also gives you some good shit talkin’ ammo. In all seriousness it’s important to realize that when you reach any blog milestone, whether it’s 500 comments or 2000 comments it’s important to realize that most of your blog milestones can’t be reached without good people like you.
Leaving comments on someone’s blog often gives that webmaster insight into the type of articles you like to read as well as the types of content that trigger some good discussion. There are factors in having an active blog and all of those factors in my opinion are user related, regardless if it’s loyal RSS Feed Subscribers, good Twitter followers that visit and retweet your blog posts.
Special Thanks to kisco kid for leaving the 2000th comment.

@The Constant Complainer the feeling is mutual my friend, thank you.
DISQUS allows the blogger to have greater control with comments. It’s one of hte useful tools that any blogger can have.

I agree Disqus is an excellent Wordpress plugin, however I had problems with the Gravatar’s not displaying and the Widget not displaying the information it claims it will display. I would also like the Disqus plugin more if it had functionality for CommentLuv or if the CommentLuv plugin could be integrated into the Disqus system.
It’s the threading of comments that makes DisQus a winner for me.
Yeah! disquss is really good plugin for blog comment posting. This is also why i switched to Disqus.
