It’s time to plow through another 1000th post request/suggestion as I try to respond to each of the suggestions and post requests made in my “What Should My 1000th Post be About?” post. Today’s response is in regards to Karen from Blazing Minds suggestion that I post how blogging has changed me, man does this one make me think. Thanks a lot Karen
Instead of really thinking about how blogging has changed me I am going to just take the next few seconds to write the first things that come to mind when I think about how being a blogging ceo has changed me. I can’t make any big promises here as I really have no idea what direction this is going to go in, but here goes and thanks again Karen for taking the time to leave a comment with your suggestion.
How Blogging Has Changed Me
- All though I am hardly a “writer” I try to correct my grammatical errors more now then before. I still suck at it BTW.
- I write more things down.
- I find myself trying to help others in business and small business blogging more now then before.
- I read more then ever before.
- I type more then ever before.
- I am more current on social networking and social media.
- I’ve found ways to really use the things I have learned to impact our two small business’s.
- I have more online connections and relationships now then ever before.
- I know what Twitter is. Connect with me @extremejohn
- I care about things like Facebook Fan Page and Ping.fm.
- I’m more open about things.
- I care less about what people think of me and what I do.
- I know what Android apps to use.
- I know what WordPress Plugins are and how to use them to my advantage in business and in personal branding.
- I know what Do Follow and No Follow is (thanks to John at Pot Politics).
- I have more fun sharing things now that you interact with me about my topics.
- I appreciate peace and quiet a lot more now.
- I feel like I learn more now.
- I find blowing off steam a lot easier.
- I write about things like Google Page Rank and Alexa Rank.
- I respect the hard work it takes to maintain an active and growing blog.
- I actually know how to mobile blog with WordPress.
- I realize how much I enjoy writing about business marketing or at least some of our business marketing.
O.k I am pulling the plug on this now before I have a list of 100 ways blogging has changed me, great post suggestion Karen!

John, I’m thinking a blog focusing on debt. All your changes seem positive, anything negative I need to be aware of. By the way you have just given me a list of things I need to find out about before I start so thanks for that.
