This post made me decide to add a new category called the “Pre-Reviews”, this will be where you can find a quick review about a specific company or business we might be dealing with either for our personal home use or for business use. This will serve as my first “Pre-Review”, you an expect your typical review for A-NIKS Outdoor Comfort Solutions once the work is completed.
As you know for the last three plus months a company named A Sound Decision has been working on the Audio and Video Equipment in the crib. There was recently a Home show in the area that Natalie and Terry were exhibiting at, they knew we were in the market for an outdoor cooling system an seen a company called A-NIKS at the show and brought home a few brochures. The brochures looked excellent and it looked like a good idea, I had a few questions in regards to the working and installation of the Outdoor Cooling System so I set up a date for them to come out an give me an estimate.
On the day of the estimate everything was great, very courteous, well mannered and professional and all of my questions were answered. One of the problems we had run into was that A-NIKS doesn’t actually have anyone run the electrical for the service of the Outdoor Cooling System, however the owner who was here mentioned that they had people they work with that could do the electrical install.
Once we had that taken care of it was a done deal, I paid the deposit and questioned how long the install process usually was when I was told up to two weeks, this wasn’t that bad and the owner explained that he would call me on Monday to give me an install day and time. That phone call never came in so a week later (today as I write this) I decided that I would give them call to follow up. I called the number on the top of the Invoice from our first meeting and got a girl who answered the phone, “A-Niks” not real pleasant by any means but whatever, I asked if I could find out about my install date because I hadn’t heard back yet, and at this point I didn’t know the guy that actually came to the house was the owner. When I asked her the info, again in a pretty shitty way to be honest she says, “You have to call the installer for that.” not remotely close to kind and considerate. No biggie moving on…
I call the installer after she gives me the installers number, again I wasn’t sure if the “Installer” was the same guy who came to the house to do the estimate or what. The guy calls me back that night and I asked him about the install, at which point he explained to me that he didn’t know yet because he hadn’t heard back from the electrician yet. He told me he would call the electrician and call me back in a little while, which he did. He explained that the Electrician will be meeting him at the house on Sunday so the Electrician can look at the job.
The Installer and the Electrician showed up and set a date for Tuesday to do the install, the guy from A-Niks explained to me that the Electrician would be there first thing in the morning on Tuesday at 8am and that he as wel as his “Install Team” would be out in the afternoon to complete the install after the Electrician is done running the wires.
Look for the follow up after the install day to see how this turns out.
