Buffer Pin It AFC Championship Game Odds

It’s time for my AFC Championship Game betting lines and predictions post, being a huge New York Jets fan I can’t even believe that I will be including them in my predictions for the AFC Championship game. The New York Jets earned a spot in the AFC Championship game against the Indianapolis Colts after they defeated the San Diego Chargers in Sand Diego on Sunday.

Before I get in to my AFC predictions and post the betting lines I think it’s important to point out that my predictions are typically based on who I want to win and rarely based on who I would actually bet on if I were betting on the games. I wouldn’t recommend that any serious sports betting fan take any of my predictions into consideration when deciding on how to place bets for the game. Now that we have that out of the way let’s get down to my NFL AFC Championship Game predictions and the betting odds.

New York Jets vs Indianapolis Colts Prediction

The NY Jets traveled a long, tough and very rocky road to get to the AFC Championship game against the Colts, they needed a win against the Cincinnati Bengals in order to secure the wild card spot and managed to get the job done. After beating up on the Bengals in the final week of regular season football the Jets headed to Cincinnati to play the Bengals again and walked away with the win, then on Sunday they managed to pull out the win against San Diego.

Indianapolis is a another big scoring team with more lethal weapons than just about any other team. In order for the NY Jets to defeat the Indianapolis Colts they will need to figure out a way to stop all of the big offensive weapons that Indy poses, and they are going to NEEEEED to score some points.

Being a Jets fan and hoping for another chance to sing old school “Cinderella cut it up one time” (I think thats the line) I will be sticking with the New York Jets to pull out the upset in Indy.

:high: I don’t know, but texas is a better team than florida with a much, much better pass offense. if anyone gets blown out it will be bama, they have not faced a good pass offense yet this season. :laughat:

I know you are a big Jets fan, John, but I think you are wrong. Indy is a machine this year and I think they win it all. My want to win team is the Saints.

The Jets are a feel good story, but we may be seeing one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time playing his best football.
The Saints-Vikings game will be interesting. When it’s all said and done, the Saints have tons of weapons and their defense generates takeaways. Don’t forget about Sharper.

Hey John, Although I am a Patriots fan this will be the first time ever I am rooting for the Jets to win although I think it is going to be a tough game for them. I would love to see Peyton Manning and the Colts go down in defeat.

The majority of people are taking the Colts to kill the Jets this week but you have to consider how well New York matches up against Indy. Indy has the worst running game in the league, and is ALL Peyton. The Jets have the #1 pass-defence and if they can put the clamps on Peyton early… it could very well be a Jets win. TheCoach isn’t calling a J-E-T-S JETS JETS JETS win but they will cover the spread. I know Indy shut down Baltimore’s running game last week but the Jets strive on being quick and elusive.. something Ray Rice isn’t…

Minnesota and New Orleans is going to be such a good game. I was hoping all season long these two would meet up in the NFC Championship and honestly.. either team could team this game. The Saints are -3.0 favourites and historically home team get given three points for the home-field advantage… so basically this game is a pick-em and there is ONE thing that I like about the Saints and its that home-field advantage. Last week Warner and Romo combined for 7 sacks and 4 fumbles largely in part to not being able to communicate with their offence. The SuperDome is NUTS and I don’t care how much experience Favre has, the crowd can help a team and also hurt the other so much.

Feel free to check out my picks with scores (and of course cheerleader pictures) @ http://www.lionsdenu.com/category/sports/nfl-guide-2009-2010/

Best of luck to all this week,
Regards,
TheCoach
