I know, I know there’s a few of you that are crushed right now. Sorry, I made it out alive. I swear to you that might have been one of my most nastiest FLU’s in any of the FLU Seasons over the past five years. This was one of those that just beat ya down, it beat you down by making your bones hurt as if someone hit you with a baseball bat than while your body is using all of it’s energy to deal with fighting off the FLU and the pain from your bones hurtin’ it quickly sucks any energy out of you that you might have thought you had.
It hit me like a freight train around 3pm on Friday, the day before we were doing the Grand Opening of our St. Petersberg Tanning salon so the timing couldn’t have been any shittier. As we were getting some of the final details with the salon in place I quickly felt my face turning more red, and my eyes began to burn, a slight cough here and a slight cough there. Each hour that went by each of those things increased, as did a feeling of being somewhat dumbafied….. Just couldn’t think straight at all. It really was odd and something else that was odd about this FLU was just how limited most of your typical FLU Symptoms were, the cough wasn’t brutal, there was no runny nose to report, n0 congestion that I could notice either. Like I said it was an odd FLU.
I ended up leaving the salon and heading home around 4pm, feeling worse with each hour that passed it wasn’t long before 8pm rolled around and I decided to tapout and lay down… I ended up sleeping right through until 10:30am on Saturday, something I never do. At best I sleep 6 hours and thats good for me, in no way shape or form am I one of those “I require 14hrs of sleep a day” kind of people. When I first opened my eyes and checked out the clock I thought for a moment that I had to be better, there was no way I could sleep that long and sweat that much and not be better. The FLU quickly set me straight the minute I went to get out of bed I had that extremely heavy feeling on my entire body, even felt dizzy most of the time I had my eyes open that day. This weird ass FLU still at this point hadn’t really delivered any significant typical FLU Symptoms which honestly made this FLU more of a pain in the ass than anything, the one thing that was added to the mix on Saturday was a Headache that would stretch until Tuesday night. The little vicious bitch of a FLU seemed to have more of the coughing, nose blowing, sneezing in more recent hours now that I have recovered from the original death grip it had hanging over my head.
I need to get back to taking my Vitamins. Stay healthy.

Glad you’re better, man. I had something pretty nasty a few weeks ago. Fortunately, I didn’t get it as bad as everyone else at work. They were out all week!

Yeah from what Im hearing about this one is that it’s taken people out for a week too, craziness a week is a long crappy time to be sick.
