I love everything about advertising and marketing and am easily considered a Gorilla marketer for the way I go about our advertising campaigns when advertising our indoor tanning salon business and limousine business. I have been fortunate enough through the years to do marketing and advertising on amazing level, everything from trade show floors and club in Las Vegas to shooting the Insane Limos commercials on Honeymoon Island.

Every once and a while I have a chance to do something other than meet with a sales rep and go over the final ad changes for an advertising campaign, when I have that chance I like to share the pictures with my Twitter followers. I remember when I first started sharing my pictures on Twitter with Uber Twitter I really didn’t think anyone would care or look, I was pleasantly surprised to see the amount of responses I would get after tweeting a picture from my Blackberry.

We happen to be in the middle of releasing a huge advertising campaign for our indoor tanning salon business Extreme Tan and Smoothies, we are pushing out some tremendous offers for Back to School and Homecoming. Our ad campaign started with a social media campaign on Twitter, Facebook, My Space, our blogs and 100′s of other internet based sites.

Once the initial release was completed on the web and the hundreds of places we market online we moved on to a 100,000 drop full page print ad in America’s Favorite Coupon Book. With the first couple of stages already under way for our gorilla marketing campaign it’s now time for the Billboard ad’s, I decided to change things up from our traditional billboard ads and do something that is fun for the girls that work at the tanning salons.

We decided to feature two girls from one of our salons each on their own billboard that will be placed around different areas of Clearwater, Largo, Seminole and St. Petersburg Florida in just a few days. I decided to tweet pictures of the girls before, during and after the professional shoot that Clear Channel Outdoor was doing, it’s always a blast doing business with Mike Barbaro from Clear Channel.

I was pretty busy yapping with Mike during the shoot when I probably should have been taking and tweeting more pictures, we are hoping to have Lakin as one of the girls on the next billboard, but Lakin’s super shy and hasn’t made her decision yet. Who knows maybe a few of you can show your support for Melissa and Kandra and leave a comment letting Lakin know you would like to see her do it, you never know she might read the blog and say… “Hey why not!”
