We recently decided to take a quick couple of day trip over in Orlando and hit a few of the Theme Parks in the Orlando area. Last time we went to Sea World which I wrote a review about (link below) and we hit Disney which I also wrote a rant about, no surprise Im not big fan of Disney but let’s move on. Instead of staying in one of the same hotels we usually stay in like the Peebody or Gaylord Palms and we decided to stay in the Buena Vista Resort and Spa in Downtown Disney.
We had only been to Downtown Disney once before and that was with Jamie to see the Britney Spears concert that she did at the House of Blues in Downtown Disney. The Hotel was located right across the street from Downtown Disney and we walked over a couple of times it was really convenient and we liked all the stores they had down there as well. The Buena Vista Resort was located close to all of the Theme Parks as well which is always a plus when heading to the Disney area.
Buena Vista Palace Resort and Spa
As soon as we got to the Resort and Spa and went to check in it was clear to me that I wasn’t going to be happy with the customer service, the first girl at the check in counter didn’t listen when I tried to answer specific questions or when I tried to tell her a couple of important things in regards to when we booked the rooms. The poor customer service didn’t stop there when we finally found the tower with the Suite’s in it, the rooms were on complete opposite sides of the hotel. If the girl would have paid attention she would have heard me say 12x over that the rooms need to be close to each other because the kids had one of the rooms.
I ended up having to call the front desk to have the rooms put closer together, the “Manager” I spoke to (and I will put that lightly) was nothing less than a complete rude ass clown. Much like the moron at check in this girl loved to interrupt people before hearing what they had to say. Needless to say her lack of listening had us sitting in the room for an hour only to receive a phone call from the Bell desk asking if we were suppose to be switching rooms and what room we were suppose to be going to. That was pretty annoying since the “Manager” went out of her way to interrupt me and tell me to wait in the room that someone would be up shortly, it’s just too bad the stupid ass didn’t actually communicate it with anyone.
After that issue was solved about an hour and a half later I called room service and requested that they bring up a bin of ice (not a bucket) I needed a bin of ice. This guy “Miguel” was also a customer service joke before I even finished requesting the bin of ice he interupted me to tell me I was calling from the wrong room… Yup, “Your calling from the wrong room“, you think the stupid asshole would have at least asked before assuming anything. I can go on and on about this little shit head but I will save that for my phone call later this afternoon. Needless to say we waited an hour and half for the room service to come through and decided to leave, 5 hours later when we returned….. still no room service. I called “Miguel” to explain my irritation over the situation at which point he went on to tell me that his staff “Always makes deliveries” and he knows they delivered it. Unlike most situations instead of writing about it I would have much more fun walking downstairs and smacking Miguel right in his little girl lips.
The Bell hops at Buena Vista Palace were actually very nice and helpful as well, which would make sense because unlike front desk chick, manager chick and Miguel the moron the Bell Hops actually get tips based on their service and performance as opposed to being a waste product that gets paid by the hour.
Last but not least I will touch on the $400 dinner we had at “The Outback” located inside of Buena Vista Palace… Took too long, Three Plates effed up, Food Taste “so so”. Aside from the things listed above the Buena Vista Palace was located right across the street from Downtown Disney which was extremely convenient and I like that place. The Hotel had a lot of convenient things going on which I also liked, it was quick and easy to get breakfast from the buffet before hitting one of the theme parks. Even with the shitty service and some of the other silly issues I would actually stay there again, call me a glutten for punishment.

Room service is a b**** huh? LoL The thought of Outback makes my mouth water. I could go for a steak, some carmelized onions and baked potatoe. Medium rare with a side of steak sauce. Hmmmm
