Social Networking and Small Business

First up this morning: 10 Crucial Business Questions To Ask Yourself. I always like to look over these articles that feature the big questions you should ask yourself as a business owner because I like to see just what everyone else thinks should be important to the small business owner. According to this article some of the more crucial questions include: what problem does your business solve, how does your business generate income and which parts of your business are not profitable.

Next this morning: 5 Essential Steps to Building Community Online. If you know anything about me by now you know just how crazy I am about building online communities through social networking. This article caught my attention as soon as I saw the title mention building communities online. I can’t say that there was any phenomenal information in this article but if you are new to building online communities then this might be more applicable to you so give it a read and see what you think!

Also in news this morning: What Small Biz Can Learn From Big Biz About Social Media. Yes, I know, it’s social media again but you know I just can’t resist…so what is it that small businesses can learn from big businesses about social media? One of the biggest things to keep in mind according to this article is staying engaged – something that I can’t exaggerate enough!

Lastly this morning: How to Use 3 New Facebook Features for Better Social Media Marketing. The new Facebook designs have a lot of small business owners panicking over how they can keep up with their small business social networking site if they can’t understand the new features. This article covers three of the new Facebook features including: uploading larger photos, keeping track of the ticker and staying on top of the top stories.

Parting Shots

My favorite article tonight is actually the last article I covered going over three of the newer features on Facebook and how to use them. With all of the changes that come with the new social media overhauls things can get pretty confusing but this article makes a few of the new features a little easier to understand.

Good list EJ! I’ll have to say I like Moltz’s 10 Crucial questions piece best. All of the questions are important, starting with #1: what problem does your business solve? It’s amazing how easily that is forgotten sometime.

PS. Frankie Edgar has to be one of the toughest guys alive. Unbelievable comeback!

Have a great weekend!

No kidding right!!! Not to mention he’s done it twice, he’s got the heart of a Grizzly, meanwhile he’s the size of a Smurf. Undoubtedly the toughest in his division, really no one left for Frankie Edgar to beat in that division at the moment.

I love the tips about building a community online. It is one of the more important things that many bloggers are forgetting. It is one thing to have a big list but it is another thing to have active people interacting with you on your blog.
