I’m not aware of how to get any revenue with Facebook. I have an account with more than 700+ users. How can you get any revenue from this?

I would LOVE to be able to disconnect more from social media! But when I do, I feel exactly that – disconnected! And then I feel guilty, like I’m not making an effort to group my biz. It’s definitely a balance……

I think the Facebook privacy and tagging settings changes is the best thing they have done in a long while. Finally a bit of transparency from FB without hiding everything behind links that are embedded in places that are hard to find! I particularly like the tagging changes because people get kind of crazy tagging up photos and before you know it your face is all over FB and you don’t have any control over it. It think this has been a long time in the waiting and much needed so FB users remain loyal and don’t feel like their privacy is being breached at every click of a mouse!

Facebook privacy has always a matter of concern but I think they now learn something from Google+ and now implementing it as well.

It seems like everyone is freaking out about the facebook privacy thing. It’s really not a big deal; they’ve basically added a few minor features, like for instance now its easier to see how your profile appears to the public or how it appears to friends, etc. And apparently its easier for you to keep your profile hidden from employer searches, etc. Which is a good thing!

Hi John,

It seems that every single time I log in to Facebook, they have decided to do some changes without letting me know about it. That’s so frustrating, and the main reason why I am spending more time on Google + than on Facebook. But, I’m still using Facebook Pages as part of my social media strategy so I guess I need to pay attention to the new stuff that’s happening :)

Thanks a lot for sharing.

Wow.. all tips from Rowling were inspiring as well but I have to say this tip : “I just write what I wanted to write. I write what amuses me. It’s totally for myself.” got me straight in the heart.. and all the success was never actually planned for, she just made it by being herself and doing what she likes.. very inspiring

>Profile controls will now be embedded right on the profile page.
and
>Facebook has also decided to bring the “View Profile As” feature directly onto the profile page. This feature allows you to view your profile page as one of your friends would see it

When I first started using Facebook and Linked In, these were two features that I thought were obvious needed and neither provided. I felt like “don’t these guys even use their own stuff, then they would see the obvious problems.”

JK Rowling
I think a book about her life and how she got the first book published and promoted would be fascinating.

My favorite tip was #5 – Basically do what you love. Find what you were meant to do and do it. If you are doing what you love you are a success regardless of financial condition.
