Before I get to enjoying a July Fourth afternoon off I wanted to drop by with some business headlines in today’s Business Blitz here at Extreme John ! Today I’ll cover a number of small business tips which include: the sale of Godaddy, the pro’s and con’s of Google Plus One and more.
Hot Business News For July 4, 2011
First up this morning another big sale in the world of the web! This weekend Godaddy sold for a grand total of $2.25 billion! The private equity firms KKR & Co., Silver Lake Partners and Technology Crossover Ventures sealed the deal on Friday but with the deal they agreed to take on all of Godaddy.com’s debt which amounts to over $1 billion. There have been questions since the sale announcement, however, that question whether the sale was actually a sale or more of a partnership in an attempt to revamp Godaddy financially.
Next this morning another article courtesy of Mashable on the pro’s and con’s of Google Plus One! This article doesn’t so much focus on the pro’s and con’s of this newest Google release from behind the scenes but it comes from the point of view of users who have had the chance to test drive Google +1. From the sleek interface to the noise in the stream, this article covers a wide range of features that any user should be familiar with.
Next up this morning “What to Do When You Absolutely, Positively Must Know if Your Content Will Rock” from Copy Blogger. Often as a blogger it can be hard to know just how to present content to your reader in a way that will appeal and intrigue but this article covers some ways that you can make your content more appealing to readers from all walks of life. My favorite tip from this article? DO YOUR RESEARCH!
Last up this morning “How to Navigate the “Unexpected and Keep Your Cool.” I was attracted to this article because as a small business owner I understand the importance of preparedness and I hope that you do too. I found this article to be more of a pep talk than a bundle of information but it is definitely a must read for any business owner.

This morning’s business news reads are pretty light in the spirit of keeping things easy for a July 4th morning but my favorite article is the Pro’s and Con’s of Google +1 because I only recently covered this issue to an extent.

Sale of Go Daddy is admirable but I often show interest to know the policy of business.If we want our progress like Go Daddy,we should note positive points of Go Daddy.

I hope the sudden acquisition of Godaddy won’t affect their users, as I’ve also registered some domain and I’m also using their hosting services on most of my sites, that would be a bummer if the change in management will suddenly affect smaller sites hosted by them.

Nice post John, I’m still haven’t added Google’s Plus one button yet. It seems like many websites are not very keen to use it. I find that the facebook and twitter buttons work great but I dont think many people will really us ethe google plus button because of the popularity of facebook and twitter.

I can tell you that with the release of Google+ which accompanies the Google+1 button nicely that you will certainly see more blogs adding the button and I’m willing to bet you’ll see a lot more people using it within the next six months.
