Starting a new week with business news is always a good way to get the day started so let’s get going with some business headlines in the Business Blitz here at Extreme John ! Today I’ll cover a number of small business tips which include: a Twitter milestone, a guide to Google +, what you should be worrying about and how to negotiate discounts.
Hot Business News For July 18, 2011
First up this morning an article on how to negotiate discounts for paying early. When you own a small business, expenses come up left and right and it is important to know how and when you can take advantage of discounts in order to save your business money. This article is more of a question and answer format but it is definitely worth a read as a small business owner.
Next up this morning “What you Should Worry About” from Seth Godin’s blog. This is an incredibly short article with an incredible strong point – when does it pay to worry? Not just as a small business owner but as a person in general? According to Seth – it just doesn’t pay off to worry.
Also in news this morning the complete guide to Google +. Google + has been all over business news since it launched and while I have posted a few articles referencing it I have had a number of questions about various aspects of utilizing Google + so I decided to include a link to this article instead. This article covers each aspect of Google + that you could possibly want to know about and it does so in much more detail than I could ever offer so if you are looking for information on Google + this is the place to get it.
Last up this morning another mile marker for Twitter as they reach 200 million accounts! This article includes something of a timeline of Twitter’s progress and even gives a graphic explanation of just how many daily tweets are going on out there on a daily basis. I have to wonder just how many of these Twitter accounts are legitimate or still functional but even so 200 million is quite a feat.

This morning’s business blitz brought some strange or unusual headlines but my favorite article this morning has to be the complete guide to Google + and not just because it’s going to save me some time in explanations, it is simply a very well presented article.
