It’s Friday morning again here at Extreme John and we’re hitting the headlines again in the Business Blitz! Today’s business blitz post brings an IPO for Groupon, tips for small business websites and more.

First in business headlines this morning Groupon files for $750 Million IPO. The IPO was one that many of us saw coming but it also reveals the 2010 revenue for the massive social based coupon company – something not too many people were sure about! According to the filing revenue for Groupon totaled $713 million last year!
Next up this morning the Big Marketing Small Business blog featured and article on how to write an about us page that rocks! Often times small businesses put very little effort in to their “about us” pages believing that their product is the most important feature of their site. Wheat many small business owners don’t realize is that your “about us” page plays a significant role in selling your business and your product. Take a look at some of the tips in this article and see what you can do to clean up your about us page!
Next this morning Lauren Drell from the American Express forum shares “6 Easy Ways To Reward Your Twitter Followers.” Its often really easy to overlook the effort that our Twitter followers put in to following us and keeping up with us on a daily basis but by throwing in little rewards here and there you can keep your Twitter followers coming back for more!
Last up this morning an article by Monica Mehta called “Five Ways Business Owners Cope With Rising Costs” really caught my eye. With the prices of just about everything on the rise the stresses of being a small business owner are also on the rise. Take a look at this article and see just how small business owners are adapting to cope with rising costs and see if there are any tips that you can take away!

I totally agree that ‘about us’ plays an important role in making you business more successful…it would surely will be helpful for many business companies.
i think for your business to succeed the customers also check out about the company and not only the product…so this needs to be perfect..great article to write on.

Ya I really need to write a good About Us page…mine is worthless. Also, on your comments replies, they show up in dark blue with black font in firefox. I cant really read them at all unless I highlight the text FYI.
