I think customer service is important, and stressing the local angle. I compete with a larger roof cleaning company in Tampa, and usually win by telling my potential customers they will have the owner of the business (me) cleaning their roof, vs some employee of my competitor.

I really enjoyed the bakery article as well. It’s just such a pleasure to get away from list posts every once in a while. And I love it when someone can relate something a little different back to their niche. Plus, I can totally relate to the aroma of baking bread. MMMM good!
