First up this morning “Why Are Some QR Codes More Scanworthy Than Others?“. This article caught my eye because I have been on a QR code kick lately, I think they’re a great way to market your business and this article in particular offered up infographic material which is always much more fun to look at that numerical data. So what does this article have to say? 58% of people don’t even know what QR codes are, I have a feeling that this will change in the near future. The most popular types of QR codes being scanned? Magazine codes. Check this article out if you are trying to figure out how you can reach a wider audience with your current marketing techniques.
Also in news this morning: “6 Companies with Awesome Employee Perks.” I always love reading about those companies who just make it so easy for their employees to stay happy, it’s a great way to get ideas for my own company as well as find out how come of the bigger companies out there work. Included in this article: Clif Bar, SweetGreen, Burton, Coloft and more.
Another article that caught my eye this morning: “6 Ways to Turn Online Browsers Into Profitable Customers.” Any small business owner would stop a minute to read over this article and that’s exactly what I did as soon as I saw the title. While this article generally includes some of the more basic tips in helping to convert those browsing customers to buying customers, it’s a good refresher for us all to focus on attracting more purchasing customers.
Last up this morning “5 Ways Small Businesses Can Get a Loan.” This article is of particular importance to small business owners who are looking for a loan to keep their business going in a rough economy. Some of the ideas for helping your small business to secure a loan: SBA loans and going through a private lender.

I have to say that this morning I particularly enjoyed reading the article about awesome employee perks, I can’t believe some of the amazing services that so many of these companies can offer to their employees!

Hi Amy and thanks for taking the time to comment and read I appreciate it. QRCodes are fun to work with, I know that we have a long way to go in my small business before we are QRCode pro’s, but we have some fun with them. When we come out with our 2012 line of indoor tanning products and sunless tanning products there’s a good chance all of our bottles will have QRCodes included in the design.
I’m putting my application in to these perk filled companies right now.
