Careful What You Wish For

I honestly feel like this is one of those weeks that is blowing by at a record pace, between meetings and a few of the things going on with Insane Limos and Extreme Tan and Smoothies it feels like it should be Tuesday. Anyway, I didn’t have a post scheduled for today because I have been working on so many different projects over the last few days so your going to get somewhat of a filler quickie today. I hope you don’t mind.

Before I get to the song and video below and the few words I want to say, I do want to say thanks to everyone that’s been keeping this place rocking over the last few days with killer comments and all of the retweets you have been nice enough to hook me up with. I will be doing a serious appreciation post in the next couple of days, sheeesh I just realized… I never even posted my Superbowl picks yet. Ugh.

Careful What You Wish For

Music is probably the biggest motivator for me in life, it always has been. Some people would think it would be money, greed or power that motivates me or someone like me. Along with music being a tremendous motivator I become attached to it and envision things within my life through the music I listen to, I’m sure that most people that enjoy music as much as I do or find it a motivator share the same attachment.

I don’t expect many of you to see the connection that I have with the various music and videos that I post here, I know that my post “My Darling” confused a few of my readers and even some of you that subscribe to my rss feed and read on a daily basis. I believe Rose even commented that I shouldn’t leave my readers in the dark, I probably should have explained that this blog is not only read by other business bloggers or bloggers for that matter, it’s also read by business competitors, people that would love to see me hit by a train tomorrow and of course good friends and family.

I’m not a writer, I’m not a pro blogger. Many of the posts I write here are more then just being about the song or the picture included in the post, typically posts like that carry a direct message to the individual on my mind at the time I write it, it may not be the most clear message to everyone, but the message is loud and clear to the receiving party or parties.

Extreme John Hair

In some way shape or form I feel a connection to “Careful What You Wish For” by Eminem, I’m not going to sit here and explain what, when or why. I’m sure you have better things to do than try to figure out what goes on in this issue filled brain of mine, instead I’ll get out of here so I can get to work on the new Tan for Cash project that we will be releasing very soon. After that I have an rss reader with 567 articles in it to read, sixteen specials for Extreme Tan and Smoothies to write and then I need to work in some time to edit the “A Day in the Life of” videos so I can start getting those posted here.

Dig the hair.
Wish mine was thick enough to even attempt that.
Oh, I better be careful what I wish for.
I’ll stick with the thin hair instead of a hairy beast.

Your competitors spam every article of mine that links to you.

Who TF are these people? Why don’t they just build their business instead of trying to hijack my comments?

If they were half as interesting as you, John, hell I’d probably link to them too.

Sheesh.

And yeah, I wrote about it, posting tomorrow.

I think videos would be cool :) I was wondering if that fight UFC 109 went down I was watching some preview show liking that Tiago Swick fight and was wondering who you liked in that :) As far as the Super Bowl I think that is going to be a close bet but as bad as New Orleans deserves a Boost I think the Colts will squeeze a 3 point win :)
Other then that it’s my son Danny’s 13th Birthday and I’m glad he wanted steak for dinner :)
I dropped your link on that new community site I’m working on and it doesn’t produce today but tomorrow comes :) Peace Curly LOL :)
The link is there if you get a chance to take a peek :)

Sounds like you need to keep up with the feed reader, or narrow it down some….

I read here because you are a “writer” you just might not think so, but your articles are interesting, educational, reader friendly, and the hot pics of chics helps a bunch too!

Hey brother, awesome music, actually listening to it while I’m writing this. Awesome.

I gotta admit I get a lot of motivation from music, when i train I have the classics like rocky, or really grimy hip hop or dubstep, sometimes it can be the beat that keeps me going.

I love music that I can relate, pain, dispair and courage. I relate a lot of my motivation to stuff like MMA, when I train Krav I love being backed into a corner having to run the guantlet, yeah man bring it on!

Hey John, your hairstyle is pretty cool! That’s your latest hairstyle right and not the one at your header right?
John, you’re not an expert writer, but you’re a good writer as well as an experienced writer. All your posts in this post are really interesting and that’s why I’m reading your blog almost in daily basis, just to see what you’ve up.

Cheers,
Lee

I immediately think of “The Monkey’s Paw” whenever I here that phrase. Deep stuff right there.

Music is powerful indeed. This is why I listen to all kinds. Last year I found myself listening to Latin pop. Didn’t understand a word, but it was motivating me to dance and write. Although, not at the same time.

The hair reminds me of my step-son. I could so see him doing something like that. Come to think of it, I had my head shaved in high school. Long on top and shaved underneath. Great conversation starter.

I know you probably think that I only come here for the girls John, but that’s not true mate. I come here because I can relate to you, being in business myself, and I find your posts very interesting. The girls, well they’re just the cream of the blog, and there’s nothing better than sucking the cream off the top. :high:

I agree with Keith, you put content out that engages your audience, that makes you a writer (or a content publisher) in my eyes. Always entertaining and thought provoking John.

@Karl Foxley, thank you Karl I appreciate that, personally I think referring to myself as a write is a pretty big disrespect to those writers out there that are TRUE writers. There is a lot to be said for grammar and editing and all of the extra hard work that writers do, I just throw it out there. haha

@Extreme John, well, I’m sticking with ‘content publisher’ so don’t discredit that label. :)
