Christmas In Full Effect

by Extreme John on December 3, 2008 |

We had a pretty Crazy Friday after one of the best Thanksgiving’s I have had in a long time. We had the Extreme tan and Smoothies Blackout Friday event that started at 6pm at all of our locations, during the day we had Decorating Elves here to put up our Christmas Lights. Throw heading out to Tilted Kilt and Emperor’s into the mix and Friday had enough stories alone for me to write blog posts for a week. Im not in the mood for that but I am in the mood to post a quick picture of the outside of the house with the lights on it.

Outside LED Christmas Lights 2008

Last year we had so many problems with the Lights blowing GFI breakers and whatever else that we added some new outlets this year and switched to LED lighting. Jay from Decorating Elves recomended the switch to LED lights since they use less power, which was a good thing since I didnt feel like dealing with last years issues. One thing Jay mentioned was that the LED lights were much brighter than last years lights, after they were installed and we have had them on a few nights it’s safe to say they are no where’s near as bright as regular Large white bulbs. The first night the LED Bulbs had more of a yellowish look which I really didn’t like but it’s seem to change to more of a off white now. The bottom line is if you dont have power issues or problems having a bunch of the large regular bulbs on, than do yourself a favor and stick with the old school bulbs because the LED’s aren’t as bright.. Thats my 2 cents.
