We have a Burger King located on US HWY 19 Southbound by Sunset Point Road in Clearwater that is in a busy shopping center along with a Publix, Old Navy, Staples, Comp Usa and Bed Bath and Beyond. For some reason whenever I go to this particular Burger King I end up eating inside instead of going through the drive through, most likely because I wouldn’t have time to eat it before I got to my next destination.

I have eaten at this Burger King probably 10 times in the last two and a half years. I remember the first time I went in there it was a disaster area but I think it was right around rush hours and during the holidays so I brushed it off as if they might have had a mad rush. I noticed that every other time I went in there three things became certain, the food sucked, the staff was as friendly as a Great White in open water and the place would always look like a typhoon went through it. It quickly became the place I dreaded going to and had to be hungry enough to eat live wasps before I would even consider going in there.

Earlier today I was in a situation where it was the Princess and Myself heading to get some last minute Birthday Gifts for Lisa and we were both starving, we happened to be on our way to that shopping enter and that Burger King was going to have to be the choice if we wanted to eat before we grabbed the gifts. I already had that “Uggggh” feeling in my stomach knowing we were going there. When we walked in someone actually said,”Hi! How are you today?” I almost passed out, I managed to control myself long enough to get some excellent service at the register and when I picked up the drink cups. Still in shock from even the initial greeting we headed towards the tables and sat down, this is when I realized that this Burger King managed to pull itself out of the dead and I had to say something to the Manager about it, the Lobby was clean, VERY Clean, from the Ceiling to the Floors and the tables in between, there wasn’t a missing sign, or anything out of place, hell they even added a few plants.

I took the time to let the manager know how I felt about my experiences in the past as well as my experience today, the place looked like they were getting a walk from the King himself. It’s nice to be able to see something good going on with all the negative shit I write about, figured if I can bitch about everything I might as well comment when something is good. There ya go.
