Can't believe your giving Colorado more cred than Aruba, Jamaica, The Islands. That's too much cold air for me. I wouldn't mind the altitude as much as I would the cold.

In a few days we are driving up to Colorado for a 2 week vacation. We're going to be staying in a mountain cabin near Pikes Peak and I actually just found out that the cabin sits at about 9500 ft. We are also planning to drive up to the summit of Pikes Peak (14,000 ft). Is it likely that we will experience altitude sickness? I sure don't want the trip to be ruined by bad headaches. I've read about the symptoms, but approx what percentage of people experience it?
