As many of my daily readers and those of you that either subscribe to my rss feed or connect with me via my Facebook fan page know I have been working aggressively on the private label brand for Extreme Tan and Smoothies. On June 6, 2010 I announced that our private label Spray Tan Can is the fastest selling sunless spray tan to hit Extreme Tan and Smoothies, then on June 9th I shared the label design for Extreme’s tan extending moisturizer, Stay Dark.

Initially the private label experience seemed to take off a little slower than I would have liked, but than again I have absolutely no patience at all. Anyway, over the last couple of weeks things have started to really heat up at Extreme Tan and Smoothies as we work feverishly to test 17 new private label tanning lotions. Those of you that connect with me via Twitter @extremejohn probably have a pretty good idea of just how aggressive we are going at  our private label testing, being aggressive pays off.

After going through the grueling test phase, documentation phase and review phase of the private label process we had the first two lotions make it to the design stage. I introduce to you, the first two private label indoor tanning lotions by Extreme Tan and Smoothies.

New Indoor Tanning Lotions

Pale to Perfect

Pale to Perfect

Pale to Perfect is a highly effective indoor tanning lotion that will provide instant dark tanning results as natural bronzing agents interact with your bodies natural proteins. Hemp and Macadamia seed oils will leave your skin moisturized, healthy and silky smooth.

Frost

Frost Indoor Tanning Lotion

I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to test and create “Frost”, as an indoor tanner and tanning salon owner that loves cooling tanning lotions this was the perfect lotion for me to work with. I’m not a big fan of tingle lotions and prefer the “cooling effect” any day of the week, Frost is a tanning lotion that contains bronzer and what I feel is the perfect level of cooling on the market. Not too much, not too little ;)

You would be surprised just how tough it is coming up with names and the descriptive text for the label, but it’s a blast! Here’s the text I came up with for the bottle design.

Frost Cooling Bronzer

Having a hot tan doesn’t mean that you should have to sweat.

Frost is a powerful streak-free bronzing lotion that will maximize any existing tan with the perfect level of cooling to keep you from overheating during and after your tanning session.

Once the first batch of lotions are delivered I will post a few pictures here, I might even include a few pictures and some information in regards to how we are going to release the new Extreme Tan and Smoothies private label line into our Tampa tanning salons (well #Tampa Bay). Take a moment to leave a comment with any questions or feedback.

I’m still waiting for the computer nerd lotion – the lotion that will turn me from pale to tan without getting up from my desk.

Those two lotions look great! It must be so exciting creating your own tanning lotions. I’m looking forward to hearing about the rest of them. 17 is impressive amount to start off with! 8)

Thank you Ru :) It is a lot of fun but it’s like anything else, it’s business and his it’s daily challenges. A fun learning process that’s for sure.

17 is an aggressive start, but I am an aggressive guy so it’s a good match. I would rather it be 60. :)

So will you still carry other lotion lines, like Devoted Creations?
Or just exclusively your own new lotions ?
I’m looking forward to seeing your other new lotions, I’m a total lotion addict in case you hadn’t noticed! 8)

I love the name Frost. The one with hemp seed oil sounds good, too. The more natural ingredients in a product the better! Hopefully things will pick up for you soon!

thank you Jenna :) Frost isn’t a word you hear to often here in Florida, so it adds a little fun to the mix.

I like the colors of the design. That’s pretty sweet you can say you have your own lotion. Only getting better since I started coming here.

I think these products are going to be better in the end. All the tan with none of the harmful side effects.
