Over the past few years it’s been amazing to see the transformation that has taken place in the NFL, especially with Roger Goodell playing business quarterback. It’s really been a time for celebration with the NFL, however if you plan on Celebrating you better knock it off right now Roger Goodell is not having any of that. Your probably wondering what the hell I am talking about and I fully intend to get down to it, you see pretty much Roger has sucked the fun right out of the NFL and in a very short period of time.
First it was the Tailgating parties that have gone on for years and years before every Football game that’s gone on in this country, especially in historic football places. Thats enough of that screams the NFL a few years back and the crackdown has been under way, than it was the Touchdown Dances and Sack Dances that had to be stopped. Now us true football fans and people who are die hard for Sunday’s get to watch each week as Referee’s make dumb call after dumb call but than have the right to decide if someone’s celebration was pre-rehersed or spontaneous.
I have a simple question for Roger Goodell and the rest of the Corporate morons that are running the NFL and it’s short and sweet…. “Do you even like football?” I mean seriously what Man or Woman that truly likes football doesn’t like the celebration dances or tailgating? As a matter of fact even out of the football fans like myself that have never tailgated still thinks tailgating is a part of the Football experience, and going to a football game. It might not be for everyone but I would love to know who is running around and bitching about stuff like Touchdown dances and Tailgating parties… WHO?!?
It’s amazing to me how some corporate ass gets to make the choices for millions and millions of football fans and what they may or may not like. Let the game be played by the men that play it and save the silly rules like stopping someone from doing a headspin to the coach and not some office ass.
