It won’t be long now before Eminem releases his long awaited “Relapse” album that hits stores soon, and we are finally starting to hear some of the music from the new Eminem album. A few weeks ago I posted another Eminem track and my thoughts on that Eminem track which is titled “We made you”. The song overall didn’t really get me excited about Em’s return, I want to hear the angry smooth stuff not this freaky weird stuff.
Earlier last week Eminem released another track and a video in the form of “3am”, a song where Em seems to hint at having lost his collective mind again. I can handle that, it’s better than that mega mainstream crap that I initially felt “We made you” was when I first heard it. Eminem 3am is starting to grow on me in the same fashion “We made you” actually grew on me too. As we get closer to Eminem Relapse I figured I might as well post the 3am video, have a look and leave a comment, let me know what you think of the new twisted Eminem song.

Eminem 3am Official Video
As I searched for the new official Eminem 3am video I headed over to check out Eminem Relapse.net to see what new information about Eminem might be posted there. I was pleasently surprised to see that there was another new Eminem song released today, the new song Eminem featuring Dr. Dre is titled “For Old Times Sake“. There is currently no video for this song however I was able to locate the HQ version of “For Old Times Sake” featuring Eminem and Dr. Dre.

Eminem feat Dr. Dre “For Old Times Sake” Music
Eminem seems to be really connected to the weird little voice he used on two of his three previously released tracks from the yet to leak Eminem Releapse album. I like some of Em’s weird voices in some of his songs but having three songs released in a row with it is getting old quick to me, it was however a pleasure to hear Dr. Dre do what he does.
Eminem Relapse.net has recently posted a picture of the Eminem Relpase album art and eluded to the fact that this means an Eminem Relapse Album Leak should be soon to follow. Regardless if Relapse does leak early or not, or better yet when it does leak I will post information about it. I still remain commited to supporting the artists I listen to, which means even if I hear the entire Relapse album early I will still be purchasing it from iTunes.

Honestly, I think Eminem’s novelty went away years ago. The whole “I’m a psycho” thing isn’t that cool anymore. You’re right though, the weird stuff isn’t very good. “The Slim Shady LP” was definitely his best work. I could still play that album, but the crazy thing is a little washed up, in my opinion.

@britani I liked the Slim Shady LP all though it wasn’t my favorite, it’s a little tough for me to pick a favorite I would need to sit down and listen to some older Eminem to make that decision.
The times have certainly changed, the psycho guy has passed by for what I find to be a more annoying fad of over voice synthesizing wanna be “singer” type music, if I hear T.Pain on another track with that shit I might shoot myself. Even with Em’s time passing and no longer being the “cool thing”, he still has millions of hardcore fans that want him to release a new album, better yet have been dieing for him to put out a new album. I am one of those people, as much as I appreciate and like some of today’s music (as I have posted on my playlists and stuff) as a whole I never find myself playing any song as much as I played “Yellow Brick Road” or “We all die one day” by Eminem and those songs aren’t even my most played of Eminem’s songs.
Eminem will sell an insane amount of music when he releases Relapse, he is one of the Top 3 Grossing Rappers of all time, he has mainstream, underground and of course his true hardcore fans. Eminem might not be the cool thing anymore to some people, and he may not sell as many albums as some of the other artists out there today, but Eminem couldn’t be any further from “washed up”. Eminem is a legend, his music might not be for taste now but it shouldn’t be forgotten that he is a legend at what he does. Shit look at Britney Spears, she’s still selling insane amounts of records and that chick went off one of the deepest ends that any of us have ever witnessed.

@Lace I would be patient, Eminem has released many mainstream songs that differ greatly from his actual Album, just because the songs released so far from Relapse have not be ultra exciting it hardly means his entire album is the same way.
All though I haven’t “LOVED” any of his new songs, up until the new “For old times sake” that is, they have for some reason started to grow on me. I think the only one that never grew on me was “Crack a Bottle”.

I do feel that Eminem is talented and he’s got amazing producers, obviously. He’s actually a good actor, as well. I love 8 Mile. The T-Pain-dubbed singing isn’t neccesary for a hit though. I think he should get back to his roots with his new albums and just make good music. I will be listening to this new album to see just what he’s been doing in this hiatus.

@TCC based on the buzz online it looks like this album will at least have the hype to help it get the exposure, the contents of Relapse will be the ultimate decider for me. I went to Eminem’s very last Anger Managment Tour Performance at the St. Pete Times Forum in Tampa, it was by far one of the best concerts I have ever seen. Than Eminem slipped into the “Ive had it mode” and canceled his show, I was seriously considering flying to a couple of his other tour cities to see the concert a couple of more times, I was crushed when he went into hiding… and of course pissed.
I need the Relapse album from Eminem to be excellent or I will again be crushed, once Eminem Relapse is leaked we will have an idea of the true buzz around the album and see what people have to say about it. Which will of course roll into album sales and whatever else, IF he treats us to some solid material. All one can do is hope. Haha.

I will say man, trust me I will be buying on May 19th, everywhere from iTunes to shitty Best Buy. Lil Wayne is solid and he has kept me going through the last turn on waiting for the Eminem Relapse album but I am ready to get back to Eminem. When Eminem comes out with shit I listen for years, when Lil Wayne and anyone else comes out with shit I listen for a few weeks. The haters and the hardcore Lil Wayne fans will back him till the end, and he’s no joke thats for sure. He just can’t fill Em’s spot on my iPod or Apple Tv. I hope it blows the hell up, BAD!

Jon, I just wanted to point out that the song is called “We all die SOME day” not “We all die ONE day” and it isn’t an Eminem song either it’s a Obie Trice song LMFAO.
Slim Shady LP isn’t even close to his best album by the way. His best ALL AROUND album is Eminem Show, hands down. Marshall Mathers LP is a very close second but it lacks song like “Square Dance”, “Soldier”, “Sing For The Moment”, “Superman”, “Til I Collapse”, “Dad’s Gone Crazy”, and “When The Music Stops”. . .no other album showcases Eminem’s talent like Eminem Show. . .
I’ve heard the entire new album and it’s not his best work but it’s good. I honestly think he put mostly Slim Shady crap on Relapse 1 and Relapse 2 will have more of the Serious songs like “Beautiful” and “Deja Vu” and I don’t think we will hear much of the middle eastern accent on Relapse 2 either, due to the fact that he will have gotten all of his Slim Shady shit out of the way.
I actually have a stupid theory that, because of him being so pissed about all his shit leaking early he released all this crap and this isn’t even the REAL relapse but the Relapse 2 is the ACTUAL album. I think this because he had said that him and Dre produced over 100 songs and I am pressed to believe these are the best 16 tracks they produced.

@HawkmaticA Ahh yes you are right, thank you for pointing out both of my faults in regards to “We all die SOME day”. Without a doubt “Eminem Show” is my most played album from ANY artist. However being ME and having my own opinion I do see Em’s new Relapse as being more enjoyable for me to listen to than the Eminem Show, there were numerous cuts on the Eminem Show that I did not care for, you listed a few. “Dad’s Gone Crazy”, just didn’t care for it, same goes for “Drips” and “Hailies Song” which was also on that album, you can add “Say Goodbye To Hollywood” to the mix s well.
In regards to the current Eminem Relapse Album, there really are not any songs like the one’s I listed above that I skip past which keeps my opinion that Relapse is Eminem’s most complete piece of work, and by far my favorite Eminem album.
I would also add that Eminem’s lyrics on the Relapse album are off the charts in comparison to any of the previous Em LP’s. That seems to be an opinion I share with many others as I cruise through the comments here as well as other music related sites. I am sure that everyone has their favorite Eminem song, and Eminem album and that just about anyone can make the argument that this is not his best work, than there are plenty of others who believe it is. Regardless I just want to see the sales go through the rood.

This album is HORRIBLE
It’s all because of the goofy voice. That stupid voice ruins the album. And the beats are great! The only songs on this album I liked were the songs with Dr. Dre in them. I sometimes wish Eminem would write and Dr. Dre would sing, because Eminem is still a brilliant writer, but the silly pitched voice makes you want to ignore him. I like the way Dr. Dre makes something as unreputable as smoking weed sound leather chair executive professional. Come on Dre, we need Detox RIGHT NOW

@User have you listened to the entire album? The “weird voice” is not on every song, and I am surprised you like the one Dre song because Em uses that voice in that song as well a little bit. Crack a Bottle is just blah for me.
I am pretty excited for Detox to come out as well, I will be bumpin the new Em for a while, now hopefully 50 comes out with something decent.

@Home Goods honestly I think it’s done in poor taste, especially at first glance. However anyone that has listened to Eminem and listened to his interviews knows that he actually loves Superman and has a tremendous amount of respect for Christopher Reeves as Superman. He also mentions in the song which is titled “Medicine Ball” that the name rhymes with so many things, making it somewhat easy to use the name in rhymes.
