All of the big time bloggers do it and a tremendous amount of the newbie bloggers can be seen doing it to, ok not every blogger is doing it but there are plenty of bloggers that are constantly looking for Do Follow Blogs or a Do Follow Blogs list. Since I know there are a few newbie bloggers that read my blog (thanks for the emails) on a daily basis I think it is important to take a quick minute to explain what Do Follow is.
What does “Do Follow” mean?
Do Follow means that when people take a moment to leave a comment on your blog instead of leaving the WordPress default “NoFollow” attribute on all comments it will change that to Do Follow, which is a great way of rewarding your blog commentators for leaving comments.
How do I make my comment links Do Follow in WordPress?
WordPress plugins makes it very simple to make your WordPress blog a Do Follow blog, check out this free WordPress plugin DoFollow 4.0 to get the job done. It comes with instructions so please don’t panic, it’s very simple.
Why would I make my blog Do Follow?
Didn’t you see the part above where I said it’s a great way of rewarding the people that are nice enough to leave a comment on your blog? Yes I did, and that’s still the very best reason to make your blog Do Follow. As a matter of fact since your in the admin panel of your WordPress blog you might want to show some real love to your blog commentators, install the CommentLuv Plugin and the KyewordLuv plugin, reward your commentators three ways. Do Follow, CommentLuv and KeywordLuv, I do it here on my blog and my readers seems to appreciate it.

Calm down, killing most of the spam on your WordPress blog is handled by one of the best plugins ever created Akismet 2.2.6, this handy little plugin will snipe most of your dumb spam comments. Feel free to Download Akismet 2.2.6 WordPress Spam Plugin it’s another free plugin.
Now that we have all the scary stuff taken care of let’s get down to what we came here for, we came here to see an active human reviewed Do Follow Blog list. I would love to find a BIG DO FOLLOW BLOG LIST to find new places to leave comments at, or better yet maybe you can make it even easier on me and get some serious link love in doing so.

I use a plug in called Dofollow, and it seems to be working fine, but I’m going to check out the one you mentioned.

@samantha, I used the DoFollow plugin previously but needed to go to Lucias Linky Luv because of the spam.
i am also using dofollow plugin for my wordpress blog .. but getting toomany spams

Could that dofollow plugin the reason I’m getting so much spam? I finally activated the Akismet plug in because I was getting a ton of spam. They weren’t even real sites. They were just a bunch of symbols for the comments and URLs. How are those comments benfiting anyone?

Okay so I downloaded the dofollow plugin for wordpress is that all I have to do at this point? I still a little confused at this point.
@Bob, install the plugin and verify the settings but you should be good to go
Akismeth is the latest piece of code promising to deal with dumb comments, makes a lot of sense for bot generated comments but what about human edited comments? the concept is deeper and as long as there are humans… I have a few blogs, need some help.

I was just wondering why despite you are clearly trying to make a dofollow list, are your comments nofollow?
I assume it is just a broken plugin and not a devious way to just generate traffic…..

@nathan – his blog is dofollow… you can look in the source code..
the problem with dofollow blogs is that you have to filter the spam comments and sometimes akismet can’t do a great job, so you have to do it manually… but it’s ok to have a dofollow blog
I totally agree! All blogs should not include nofollow links and use a spam control script. It’s a better way to do things

Yes! DoFollow really rocks. If it is done properly I think it can benefit both google page rank and alexa ranking. Whatever your motivation is, you will definitely have some loyal visitors which will eventually rank higher on both google and on Alexa.
My blog is do follow. I’m all for giving something back to the people who are kind enough to leave comments on my blog. It’s a small gesture and i’m happy to do it. I also follow all the links from my site too to others.
This do follow is a little new to me and very interesting. I was always told to nofollow outgoing links to keep page rank, but what you are saying makes sense. People with web sites are going to comment more often if they get a dofollow link. The important thing is traffic, not page rank. You convinced me. Thanks.
