All of the big time bloggers do it and a tremendous amount of the newbie bloggers can be seen doing it to, ok not every blogger is doing it but there are plenty of bloggers that are constantly looking for Do Follow Blogs or a Do Follow Blogs list. Since I know there are a few newbie bloggers that read my blog (thanks for the emails) on a daily basis I think it is important to take a quick minute to explain what Do Follow is.
What does “Do Follow” mean?
Do Follow means that when people take a moment to leave a comment on your blog instead of leaving the WordPress default “NoFollow” attribute on all comments it will change that to Do Follow, which is a great way of rewarding your blog commentators for leaving comments.
How do I make my comment links Do Follow in WordPress?
WordPress plugins makes it very simple to make your WordPress blog a Do Follow blog, check out this free WordPress plugin DoFollow 4.0 to get the job done. It comes with instructions so please don’t panic, it’s very simple.
Why would I make my blog Do Follow?
Didn’t you see the part above where I said it’s a great way of rewarding the people that are nice enough to leave a comment on your blog? Yes I did, and that’s still the very best reason to make your blog Do Follow. As a matter of fact since your in the admin panel of your WordPress blog you might want to show some real love to your blog commentators, install the CommentLuv Plugin and the KyewordLuv plugin, reward your commentators three ways. [intlink id="2239" type="post"]Do Follow, CommentLuv and KeywordLuv[/intlink], I do it here on my blog and my readers seems to appreciate it.
Comment Spam is terrifying to me, how can I stop it?
Calm down, killing most of the spam on your WordPress blog is handled by one of the best plugins ever created Akismet 2.2.6, this handy little plugin will snipe most of your dumb spam comments. Feel free to Download Akismet 2.2.6 WordPress Spam Plugin it’s another free plugin.
Now that we have all the scary stuff taken care of let’s get down to what we came here for, we came here to see an active human reviewed Do Follow Blog list. I would love to find a BIG DO FOLLOW BLOG LIST to find new places to leave comments at, or better yet maybe you can make it even easier on me and get some serious link love in doing so.
Add your Do Follow Blog to my BIG Do Follow Blog List:
Leave a comment with the name and a link to your Do Follow Blog and it will instantly be displayed in the Big Do Follow Blog list below, you don’t have to grab any crazy buttons or jump through any hoops, I feel like being nice take the link love and be happy.
Why should I add my Do Follow Blog to your list?
- It’s fast and very easy to leave a comment with your blog name and link
- You get Do Follow link juice back instantly
- Extreme John is a Google PR 4, it’s a pretty decent page rank for a useless blog
- I use CommentLuv which means you get a Bonus Do Follow link below your comment, automatically
- I use the KeywordLuve plugin which allows you to use a Keyword in your comment name
Ok that’s enough of the Do Follow and link love talk for today, just do yourself a favor and leave a comment as long as you have a Do Follow blog to add to the Big Do Follow Blog list here. If you like this type of stuff subscribe to my rss feed or take a second to follow me on Twitter @extremejohn , I actually tweet and respond.

@Greg thanks for listing your site Greg and I am happy to see you as part of the Do Follow bloggers.
@Karen you can go about it whichever way you want, there are plugins to keep no follow on the widgets and side bar stuff, I don’t use any of it. I only list things in my Blog roll and other places on my site that I enjoy sharing some link love with, so losing some link juice is not big deal.

@ExtremeJohn I have the NoFollowFree plugin running and I’m been generous with 2 comments and then DoFollow

Nice work John! Soon we will own the world LOL and we will have page rank juice from Canada to China!
I’m a big fan of do follow but what I don’t like is seeing bloggers allowing spammy comments to be allowed. You have to be very careful on what comment you allow once you proceed with Do Follow.

Nice post.I agree with Brian and i check every link before I approve it. Sometimes the comment looks real legit especially if there’s a girl in the avatar but they often lead to sites that will diminish the overall benefit I’m trying to preserve for BLOGGERS. Oh I was just thinking that I may not of thanked u for adding me to your blogroll. I added you and that is the shizzle to see my blog getting out there.
I see some cool people commenting and I wish visit their sites. When I first caught on to do follow I was falsely inder the impression it was going to be like a bloggerluv LUV feast after reaching out to the majority of the people ranking for do follow I found them to be a bunch of arrogant snobs wil no thought of anyone but themselves.
So I was isolated for a long time.Hopefully we will be able to make those other Goofs look foolish as we band together in the spirit of looking out for each other.
Thanks for your blogging friendship and support me and my site and I hope everyone has an awesome weekend:)

A dofollow blog could brings in more visitors and comments too. But you’ve to take risk that you might get tons of spam comments on your blog just to get a dofollow backlink over here. Anyway, that’s a great way to say thank you to all the valuable commenter!

Hello John,
As noted in a previous post I commented on here, I have a “do follow” blog too.
I have the “comment luv” and “do follow” both installed.
I’ve been using “comment luv” for a long while now. It was one of my first plugins.
The “do follow” is recent, as I’ve only just been introduced to it.
It is nice to connect with new people through their blogs.
I love interacting.
If you comment on my site, of course I shall return the favour. (I should really make the “u comment, i follow” sign visible in my site now)
Always a pleasure.
Kind Wishes

Wow you got a long list of comments and Do Follow blogs.
I’m a new blogger (just got my domain 5 days ago) and I’m installing all the plug ins you suggest here.
I had problem with the do follow plug in though and got this error:
“Unpacking the package.
Incompatible archive PCLZIP_ERR_BAD_FORMAT (-10) : Unable to find End of Central Dir Record signature”
Found another do follow plug in -> http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/sem-dofollow/ and it works.
Great blog John.

Dofollow blogs are becoming more difficult to come across nowadays so well done for keeping yours as dofollow.
I’m a strong believer in using blog links to help with the whole SEO process but I think it’s very important to keep it ethical and make sure your comment actually makes sense and isn’t just “thanks. great post”.
Twitter: seowolf
Hey John,
This is an excellent resource for newbies to know more about do follow, their importance in the industry and the technical crunches of the various plugins associated. I think there cant be a self explanatory article than this. Coming back to do follow, nowadays its not that easy to get a link from those do follow blogs. A mere “i like the post” or “thanks” is no more worthy. Quality comments which add more light to the post and comments which are genuinely the best only gets the advantage. I wish you write an article on blog commenting spam alone for newcomers to read and peruse.

Mack McMillan

John I am so impressed about the do follow movement and wanted to use these plugins in my blog. Unfortunately I use a different CMS tool and most of the time I decide manually to approve comments for do follow based on their authenticity. I am thinking of choosing wordpress so that I can use these incredible plugins. But I have a doubt regarding the moderation time. I cannot spend long hours moderating the comments. Do you have any info on the average hours you spend moderating the blog. Your help would mean a lot to me.

I have a few dofollow blog….but I wanna ask u something, What is exactly Do follow menas? thanks be4
I keep wandering into your blog on my own personal dofollow quest. You’re ranked pretty high for a nonlist list. At least I’ve never been able to find the list. Not complaining just saying.
I’ve been pulling apart a bunch of old dofollow lists and trying to reassemble them into an actual dofollow list. The things I do to avoid dishes would amaze you.
I really need to go through your comments one of these days to find more dof… umm new friends? LOL Joke.
I would mention that the previously mentioned blog is also dofollow but it’s such a new baby that it would do noone nogood at all.
Peace

John, does akismet really blocks dumb spam comments?
I dont think so, I am still getting dumb good post and thanks comments and i have to manually moderate them
Besides, that its attracting lots of bots too
Obviously, using do-follow comments on blogs are a good way to develop some juice; it’s also helpful to get the keyword-rich anchor text too. Of course, we all must be mindful to leave a legitimately useful comment for fear of “killing the golden goose.”
Thanks for sharing this resource.
When a site wants to have many backlinks, commenting on do follow blogs would help. Nice article John!

Hey John, I appreciate the help and info about do-follow – I think I’m catching on to this blogging idea after a year and a half of my own blog at http://mindgas-bobb.blogspot.com/
I have a tendency to yak about all sorts of topics that tweak (not tweet) my interest from politics to conspiracy theories. Mostly I am now blogging about baby boomers and our next plot to subject the world to our retirement revamp. You might also find some health and fitness tips and a few things to cause even more grey hair. By the way, I think power tanning should be an Olympic sport.

About the above comment.
More traffic- good
Giving out backlinks- bad
Well it is a 2 sided coin. You decide what is better, still depends how good you are. I have seen do follow blogs with PR 3 and about 200 comments on that page.
