All of the big time bloggers do it and a tremendous amount of the newbie bloggers can be seen doing it to, ok not every blogger is doing it but there are plenty of bloggers that are constantly looking for Do Follow Blogs or a Do Follow Blogs list. Since I know there are a few newbie bloggers that read my blog (thanks for the emails) on a daily basis I think it is important to take a quick minute to explain what Do Follow is.
What does “Do Follow” mean?
Do Follow means that when people take a moment to leave a comment on your blog instead of leaving the WordPress default “NoFollow” attribute on all comments it will change that to Do Follow, which is a great way of rewarding your blog commentators for leaving comments.
How do I make my comment links Do Follow in WordPress?
WordPress plugins makes it very simple to make your WordPress blog a Do Follow blog, check out this free WordPress plugin DoFollow 4.0 to get the job done. It comes with instructions so please don’t panic, it’s very simple.
Why would I make my blog Do Follow?
Didn’t you see the part above where I said it’s a great way of rewarding the people that are nice enough to leave a comment on your blog? Yes I did, and that’s still the very best reason to make your blog Do Follow. As a matter of fact since your in the admin panel of your WordPress blog you might want to show some real love to your blog commentators, install the CommentLuv Plugin and the KyewordLuv plugin, reward your commentators three ways. [intlink id="2239" type="post"]Do Follow, CommentLuv and KeywordLuv[/intlink], I do it here on my blog and my readers seems to appreciate it.

Calm down, killing most of the spam on your WordPress blog is handled by one of the best plugins ever created Akismet 2.2.6, this handy little plugin will snipe most of your dumb spam comments. Feel free to Download Akismet 2.2.6 WordPress Spam Plugin it’s another free plugin.
Now that we have all the scary stuff taken care of let’s get down to what we came here for, we came here to see an active human reviewed Do Follow Blog list. I would love to find a BIG DO FOLLOW BLOG LIST to find new places to leave comments at, or better yet maybe you can make it even easier on me and get some serious link love in doing so.

Leave a comment with the name and a link to your Do Follow Blog and it will instantly be displayed in the Big Do Follow Blog list below, you don’t have to grab any crazy buttons or jump through any hoops, I feel like being nice take the link love and be happy.

I never knew about the do follow or comment and keywordluv until a month ago. I have tried wordpress in the past but did not understand the power of it. I had taken an SEO course on the subject and I must say WOW. I’m sold on WP and build all my sites with it. I have 5 now and two of them are ranking high in google. I am a strong supporter of Do Follow. Luv it.

I was always taught by the alleged “gurus” to use no follow and have done that on a number of sites. As you might guess, comments were very few and far between. I have a new site up and am also using Commentluv and Keywordluv. The more that I read on this, the more I’m convinced to go with dofollow on all of my sites. How does WordPress benefit from making ‘nofollow’ the default?
They already have the anti-spam plugins.

@BobBannon@YourKeywords, I don’t have much knowledge on Blogspot and it’s functionality. Not sure if they have an option or add-on that can make your blog a Do Follow blog.
You can make blogspot dofollow.
Firstly make sure you have anonymous posting enabled for commenting under the commenting options.
Go into settings and click expand widgets.
If using ie explored click edit/find on this page and locate this line
“a expr:href=’data:comment.authorUrl’”
somewhere on that line will be the rel nofollow attribute simply erase it and save.
Personally I prefer just edit/finding nofollow and then I next through until I locate the line that way but thats just me.
It sounds more complicated than it is once you’ve done it a time or 3 it should click with you.

@chrisy@Remote pc, I have a post that explains the Lucias Linky Luv Do Follow Wordpress Plugin, it makes it so that comments are not Do Follow until specific criteria is met. In this case it’s 3 comments.
Do-follow blogs are great as long as you have strong spam protection.

@samantha, I used the DoFollow plugin previously but needed to go to Lucias Linky Luv because of the spam.
Could that dofollow plugin the reason I’m getting so much spam? I finally activated the Akismet plug in because I was getting a ton of spam. They weren’t even real sites. They were just a bunch of symbols for the comments and URLs. How are those comments benfiting anyone?

Nathan this blog is only Do Follow after 3 approved comments. With the popularity of this list growing there’s no way to control the spammers. You know how they love that Do Follow comment dropping style.

the problem with dofollow blogs is that you have to filter the spam comments and sometimes akismet can’t do a great job, so you have to do it manually… but it’s ok to have a dofollow blog

you know i think people make a big deal about nofollow and dofollow sites, i mean sure if you get a dofollow link, it will improve your ranking, but dont forget that nofollow links are also helpful in many ways, so dont stay away from them just because google does not count them as a link….
