All of the big time bloggers do it and a tremendous amount of the newbie bloggers can be seen doing it to, ok not every blogger is doing it but there are plenty of bloggers that are constantly looking for Do Follow Blogs or a Do Follow Blogs list. Since I know there are a few newbie bloggers that read my blog (thanks for the emails) on a daily basis I think it is important to take a quick minute to explain what Do Follow is.
What does “Do Follow” mean?
Do Follow means that when people take a moment to leave a comment on your blog instead of leaving the WordPress default “NoFollow” attribute on all comments it will change that to Do Follow, which is a great way of rewarding your blog commentators for leaving comments.
How do I make my comment links Do Follow in WordPress?
WordPress plugins makes it very simple to make your WordPress blog a Do Follow blog, check out this free WordPress plugin DoFollow 4.0 to get the job done. It comes with instructions so please don’t panic, it’s very simple.
Why would I make my blog Do Follow?
Didn’t you see the part above where I said it’s a great way of rewarding the people that are nice enough to leave a comment on your blog? Yes I did, and that’s still the very best reason to make your blog Do Follow. As a matter of fact since your in the admin panel of your WordPress blog you might want to show some real love to your blog commentators, install the CommentLuv Plugin and the KyewordLuv plugin, reward your commentators three ways. [intlink id="2239" type="post"]Do Follow, CommentLuv and KeywordLuv[/intlink], I do it here on my blog and my readers seems to appreciate it.
Comment Spam is terrifying to me, how can I stop it?
Calm down, killing most of the spam on your WordPress blog is handled by one of the best plugins ever created Akismet 2.2.6, this handy little plugin will snipe most of your dumb spam comments. Feel free to Download Akismet 2.2.6 WordPress Spam Plugin it’s another free plugin.

John,
Why is it though, that you somehow selectively make certain links in your comments nofollow while others are dofollow? As a matter of fact, the vast majority of them are nofollow. That’s rather disheartening. Why do you have a problem allowing someone to have a dofollow link from your blog if they’ve at least made the effort to read your post and create a well thought out response?

Hi Dave and thanks for taking the time to comment. I think there’s a few things that are important to realize.
1) This is a Do Follow Blog, but it’s not a spam festival so it needs control.
2) Out of MANY of the comments you see in this list, they are left by comment droppers looking for link juice. Many of which are bots or international spammers. I’m not looking to bring down my blog value to benefit either of those two commenters.
3) This post http://www.extremejohn.com/do-follow-wordpress-plugin-no-follow-free/ explains the Do Follow here and how it works. Those individuals not looking to comment drop for Do Follow juice will be fine, those looking to simply get some cheap juice can check the 1,000′s of other sites out there that simply don’t care about their comment or reader base. I do.
I hope that helps.
Well, that being the case, then the spam comment by Giviani has a link for puppy housebreaking that has been erroneously granted a dofollow link and needs to be changed to nofollow. And if you’re wondering why I’m even making issue over this it’s because I am someone who leaves posts because I’m looking for linkjuice. BUT, I give extra effort to read posts and make thoughtful intelligent contributions to the discussion. Moreso that most people that I see, and I was rewarded with a nice big fat juicy nofollow link from your blog which kinda bummed me out
Twitter: extremejohn
A simple solution to that is to comment at least 3x with the same username, email and domain. Solves that problem easily, I appreciate the heads up on the spam link. Thank you.
A DoFollow site is one that allows the search engines to follow a link from their site to yours.
I had got much benefit from this do follow blogs but in the list there some more blogs which are nofollow so please kindly do it filter.

Do follow blog deliver do follow links to the commentators. All search engines love do follow links and do follow links are very useful to increase the page rank and no follow links have a little benefit of traffic.
Do follow Blogger face a lot of problems to stop spammers.
Dofollow blogs provide dofollow links to the commentators. All search engines like & prefere dofollow links and dofollow links are very fruitful to maximize & to increase the page rank and no follow links who have a tiny benefit of traffic…..
Dofollow Blogger is facing so many problems to stop spammers……thanks

I found this post very interesting because to be honest I found the do-follow thing very muddling! You have explained it so well and thanks for that!
Thanks for explaining in ordinary english for people like me!

John thank you very much for sharing this info…I’m quite having a hard time looking for “do follow” blog lists…actually everything is alien to me…but I wanted to learn since I wanted to write blogs. It is really helpful, hoping you’re up for more.”,
Thanks so much for this post. It really resonates with me as a strategist who has helped dozens of people think about launching and managing a community. I think you have hit all of the points I lead with when I first start talking to folks about their online community strategy.
What has happened to pagerank anyway? ;Ive been commenting on blogs and building links to my new site since July and am really hoping for a pagerank update soon, but it seems the last one was in April? I would love to hear your thoughts on this.
Twitter: extremejohn
That’s how Google does things, who knows they may very well never have a Page Rank update again.
Thanks for putting this dofollow info together. Like you, I like to build websites and try to put useful comments on other peoples blogs (dofollow). The way I see it it is a two-fold trade. Blogger gets “real” activity on the site and makes it look alive and the commenter gets a little link luv.

I wish more bloggers would go this route. It is easy to see why they don’t once the spam comes in. My dofollow blogs get a lot of traffic even with the captcha image. People in third world countries are paid to sit and type those out to get past the filters. Luckily they are still easy to spot since they rarely write anything legible.

I can see why they wouldn’t either, the spam is a pain but in reality if you’re doing any real volume on the web chances are you’re getting nailed with your fair share of spam.
I am stuck while finding out the blogs which are dofollow and related to my keyword at same time but not found. And some of them I found are not allow instant approval. Can any one help me ?
Blogs are change from dofollow to nofollow and vise versa all the time.
A lot of blog owners use “dofollow” they are happy to share their link juice with valued contributors.
Unfortunately, what happens is their site gets listed somewhere like on Digital Point, and they wake up to dozens of silly comments… upon seeing this they freak out and quickly change their blog to nofollow.

I just made my blog a ‘Do-Follow’ blog and am still trying to get my head around all the implications.
Would love if you would include my blog in your list:

Also, I installed keyword luv but it doesn’t seem to show when people comment – I use woo themes, would you know if there are any problems??

Thanks again

I swear theres so many nofollow blogs out there that claim to be dofollow. It’s crazy.
Twitter: extremejohn
Haha yes it is.
Do follow blogs are great. I have not had to big of a problem with spam on my do follow blogs. Some spam definitely still gets through the plug ins though.
I don’t have a do-follow blog, because I can’t figure it out. I don’t understand how someone like Extreme John, with PR-2, PR-3 and PR-4 pages, can maintain such a high PR after all these do-follow comments and hence PR leak. I struggle just to get some PR juice into my small blogs, and I try to keep it there by no-following my own pages! If I knew the art of PR, I would definitely consider changing my blog comment to do-follow.
Twitter: extremejohn
Hey John thanks for taking the time to read and comment. Do Follow has it’s up’s and it’s downs, and it comes with a price, plenty of spam. As for the art of being a Do follow blog, I would check out http://www.potpolitics.com the guy John SUllivan that writes that blog knows his Do Follow stuff that’s for sure. As for me on the other hand it’s not an art so much as it is just luck I guess, the only reason I even went Do Follow was because I read John’s blog and about how it helped others and blah blah, so I truly did install it to help others, at the time I didn’t realize the spam it would welcome (I dont care anyway) and I didn’t realize that it was such a big thing.
Once I installed the plugins to do it, I never took them out so here it sits. But, one thing that’s important to note is that this blog/website were around for years before I went Do Follow and I also have a little bit of a marketing edge because of people that read or know about the blog based on the businesses or work I’ve done with them in the past. I would imagine all of those factors make a difference.
Thanks for setting this up so we can share. My blog is http://www.cbrownphoto.com/blog. It’s about wedding photography, for the most part.
I love dofollow blogs, though they are much lesser than the nofollow ones. My blogsite is dofollow and has keywordluv as well, and the Akismet plugin is still the best around in catching up all the spam comments.

Thanks for the list! I wish more of us would make our blogs do follow. It really isn’t that hard to weed out spammers, and as you say, it provides a nice reward for people who want to make a genuine contribution to the conversation. Hopefully more people will realize this over time!
It’s funny to see that there are so many people using the keyword luv plugin, damn. A complete revelation on the Dofollow commenting part, thanks!
