Seriously do yourself, your friends and your family a favor and don’t waste your time watching the news. Recently I have been watching a lot of the news, all of the talk about the BIG Bailout, the CEO’s under fire and of course the huge tumble in the market and how the walls are just burning down, entire planet going to hell and in a big hurry. Panic, everyone PANIC!
Than on Friday I did the unspeakable, I left my house and went out into the real world, where there were real people doing real things. I was kind of shocked because for the last two weeks I heard how bad “EVERYTHING” was getting and how a global disaster was immenent, but as I drove the traffic was the same, crossing gaurds were out in full force, pass a Benz here and a Beemer there, wait in line at this store and wait in line to get a haircut. None of these seems right… Isn’t the entire world suffering and in a world of hurt because the mighty Stock Market crumbled to terrible levels and historic lows.
The fact of the matter is that everywhere I went on Friday made it very clear to me that sure all though times aren’t as amazing as they were 3 years ago and sure the economy isn’t ass strong as it’s ever been. I will tell you though, the TV was still on at Fade Station in little Largo Florida and every chair was packed, they have like sixteen chairs and the last time I checked having sixteen people sitting in your waiting room wasn’t a bad thing. I have also been hearing how people aren’t going to sporting events and the NBA has even decided to cut a tremendous 80 jobs. This is honestly another crock that the news has you believing, I went to the rays ALCS Playoff Game with the family on Friday and the place was packed which is amazing for a Rays game. Do yourself a favor people and don’t watch this crap, especially CNN and FOX if your going to watch anything than watch MSNBC it’s not the greatest but it isn’t hardly as dramatic as the bullshit CNN and FOX try to jam down your throat. Better yet instead of watching any news get back out there and support your local business’s so they can generate income and hire people you know or your family members, you can do all the bailouts and whatever else you want but in reality the American Public decides what the economy does, grind it to a hault by sitting on your ass and watching the news and you bet times are going to be tough. Get out and do some of the things you use to do, maybe not as agressive but it’s better than stopping all together, listen to the news and we will certainly be in a Recession soon enough.
