Dusting off my shoulders as I make my return…. O.k, enough of the funny stuff, sorry I have been a little off the blogging the last week or so but it’s been a little hectic and my late night 19th hour motivation levels haven’t been there for me. I have a few posts that I will be putting up today in order to share some of the things that have been going on like the Extreme Tan and Smoothies TV Commercial shoot, setting up the new Tan for Cash giveaway and of course getting things prepped for Earth Day (#EarthDay on Twitter I believe).
There’s probably a few of you that don’t know what Earth Day is, to keep it short and simple it’s a day where individuals and business’s around the world can make good great conscious decisions about protecting and saving the environment. Those of you that subscribe to my rss feed know that I am the founder and acting CEO of Extreme Tan and Smoothies, a chain of six family owned tanning salons in the #Tampa Bay area. If you travel through here often you also know that we work constantly to be part of the community, not too long we made the choice to Go Green with our small business and now it’s time for us to do our part for Earth Day.

What Extreme Tan and Smoothies is Doing for Earth Day
- Half Dark – Half the lights will be on in each location including the home office.
- Lobby TV’s and Radio’s will be powered down.
- Exclusive specials for our indoor tanning clients that want to contribute to Earth Day.
Tanning Specials for Earth Day
- 20 minute tanning package clients that reduce their tan time for 5 minutes for the day will receive a free any bed upgrade or 10% off any product.
- “Any Bed” tanning clients that reduce their tan time by 3 minutes receive 10% off any product purchase.
Every small business owner and individual can contribute to Earth Day with a little thought and creativity, hopefully everyone will do their part.

We’re probably not going to save the environment by having one Earth Day a year – but I think it’s a good idea and it helps everybody keep focus on what we need to protect: the environment.
I don’t believe that we can stop global warming “just like that”, but I still think we need to make sure not to destroy the planet and eat up all the ressources.

@Klaus @ TechPatio, I feel you Klaus, but if nothing else at least when I put my head on the pillow tonight I know I will feel good about the example that I set for my kids and the thought that maybe somewhere down the road my grand kids or great grand kids or whatever might benefit from it.

We are going to make all the customers take there
mice and rats home in their purses
or man bags.
But really we will be turning off all the lights in our display tanks ( only the ones without animals, since we don’t want any animals to suffer )
WE also will be turning off our radio system and asking customers if they don’t mind taking just a few items without a togo bag.

@SafariDave, that’s called slacker payback. I’ve been slacking and it’s been showing, reality is that I haven’t had much update time and that impacts traffic which will impact that number.
