Eminem “Recovery” leaked within the last few days which is pretty wild since the new Eminem Recovery album wasn’t due to hit shelves for another two weeks on June 22, 2010. Unlike the Eminem Relapse leak the Recovery album has leaked in what seems like it’s entirety, something that would seem as if it would suck for big Em and the record label. Reality is that Eminem Recovery is going to sell a tremendous amount of records and it has always been my opinion that a well planned early album leak benefits the artist, this won’t be any different.

Eminem Recovery Leaked Track List
Cold Wind Blows
Cold Wind Blows was the first song off of the leaked Recovery album that heard with the exception of the previously released tracks featuring Pink and “Not Afraid”. Em doesn’t take very long to let everyone know who his new suffering celebrity target might be, this time around it looks like Michael J. Fox is on the chopping block. Can’t wait to hear Eminem’s reason for targeting Fox, either way no Superman or Christopher Reeves mentions in this track.
Talkin’ 2 Myself with Kobe
Easily one of my favorite tracks on the Recovery album, great beat and hook that Em mashes as expected. He also brings up how he considered going against Lil Wayne and Kanye at some point during his down time, he finishes that up by saying that he’s glad he didn’t or he would have had his ass handed to him…. Not so sure about that, Em just spits, re-eats and re-spits incredible lyrics and flow on Recovery.
On Fire
Em starts by talking about critics and how they never have anything nice to say, he goes on to explain how critics never ask about how his day is at which point he decides to just share it with all of us. Another lyrical homerun.
Won’t Back Down” with Pink
I really didn’t care for this song when a local radio station first released it about two weeks ago, the beat annoyed me for whatever reason. Anyway, it might not be one of my favorite songs on the new Eminem Recovery album but I respect it for what it is and typically won’t hit next. I guess it’s another keeper.
W.T.P.
Creativity and lyrical genius as Em takes a moment to go through what it’s like to have a “White Trash Party” through his eyes.
Going Through Changes
You really can’t go wrong with Ozzy Ozbourne in the background or ripping a hook (via sound byte) on a track, good news here. If you dig Ozzy he can be heard here along with Eminem’s version of what dealing with the death of Proof and his drug addiction has been like, it doesn’t get too mushy or soft and it’s a nice change from the mega dark stuff on Relapse and the Relapse Refill.
Not Afraid
I first posted Eminem “Not Afraid” a while back in a post about some moron from Chicago, by now if you landed on my blog you have heard this song around 100 times by now.
Seduction
Easily in my top three for a lot of the same reasons I have already been screaming about in the reviews for each of the other songs, the album is the consistent. Seduction is on the slower side of things, but don’t get it twisted (as my boy James would say) Em jacks it up for this song.
No Love with Lil Wayne
Lil Wayne kicks off his appearance on Eminem Recovery with the click of the lighter every Weezy fan knows very well, he proceeds to drop some decent lyrics to kick off “No Love”. Eminem takes over and goes off about how incredible he is as Lil Wayne flips out from time to time in the background as the Haddaway track “What is love?” makes a brief return as a sample also playing in the background.
Space Bound
Space Bound is another one of the slower tracks on the Recovery Leak, it has a great sample running in the background I can’t remember who it is, but I know my boy Ant would know it in a minute. Not sure Space Bound will be making an appearance on my playlist, it might take some time to grow on me.
Cinderella Man
Ridiculous. Seriously, sick beat, sick hook and as usual sick Em beat flow.
25 to Life
Eminem takes the classy route (laugh) to let his girl know how he feels about their situation and 25 years to liiiife! This one stays on the playlist as well. I would like to know who the girl is singing the break in this song.
So Bad
Eminem lays some pretty funny lyrics over a frumpy beat, hardly the hardest song he’s ever done but it’s a keeper on the playlist.
Almost Famous
Bad ass hook in this song that I instantly wanted to get mad and write something negative to celebrate the time about, Em is all over this beat and the rhymes are just sick. Enjoy following this one. Another one of my favorites on Eminem Recovery.
Love the Way You Lie with Rihanna
At first listen it pissed me off that Rhianna was on the album with this hook, then I gave it another listen and came to the conclusion that the Rhianna hook completes the song and actually is one of the main additives that makes the song another excellent one on the disc. I will say though, if your a huge fan of Em’s heavy stuff just hit next and move on. This is one of those radio songs with a killer potential.
You’re Never Over
“You’re Never Over” has Eminem actually working his vocals (something he does throughout the entire album) as he reflects back on Proof and looks forward to his continued Recovery, obviously the anthem.
P.s. “Hidden” didn’t seem to show up in most of the leaked Recovery track lists that I’ve seen up to this point, hardly means it isn’t out there because I’m sure it is and I am pretty positive it’s on the album. If I am wrong please feel free to leave a comment and correct my track list with an updated list. In any case if “Hidden” is on the album as a bonus song of some sort it’s worth every second, ridiculous rhymes as expected.
P.s 2 Big thanks to my boy Lace for the hookup.

25 – life he is talkin about givin his live to hip hop, not a girl. He is treating hip hop like a relationship. Sound gets better after the second listen since you know what he is really speakin on.

@j, I should have def gave it a few more listens. I always make the mistake of getting hooked on like 5 songs and glancing the rest, hate it. Thank you for straightening my misinformation out
The general view from most forums and blogs is that the album needs at least 2 listens to fully appreciate it and I agree.
Good review.

@Cal, I would agree to Cal. Thank you and thanks for taking the time to leave a comment.
The more I listen to it the track with Kobe is killer, probably my favorite. Than again I can go on about Seduction also.
Anybody know the sample that was used for space bound????
That is the craziest hook ever (at least till i get bored of it), and it really does HOOK u on the song.

@V, yeah it does. I need to look into that, I know it’s from an old school song.
On 25 to Life Eminem is talking about Hip-Hop as his girl
Please let the Album marinate on you before posting reviews

@ASID, thank you.
Without a doubt a true Em classic, it’s going to get ridiculous air play. I can’t stop listening to it.
Eminem’s albums always had to be listen at least two time entirely before I could have an opinion. I have to admit that i haven’t listen this, but i am going to it!

@Jenny, without a doubt worth the purchase. I will be buying a few copies myself.

Changes with Ozzy and Not Afraid.. are silly tracks.
It’s the same Em..maybe a lil more mature but still Em.
Listening to Em you have to just hear the lyrics..lol you gotta hear it a few times to get the beat in there.

Going after Michael J Fox seems like an odd target. All he does these days is promote stem cell research to help those with MS.

Recovery was a necessary album for Em. He had to show people he could overcome his addiction, stay relevant, and still tear shit up on record. He proved all of that with Recovery. Fuck what the critics say, no Eminem album has ever released to positive critic reviews. Its up to fans like us to prove to everyone that he’s still King.

@Gpimp, he proves everything you said and with ease on Recovery. Today’s the big day, hopefully the sales are ridiculous.

Just noticed the props in this post…Thank ya BRO!
I know you’re a huge Em fan, and couldn’t hold out.
Looks like you’ve enjoyed it quite a bit!
I have to say, I’ve listened to it a few times on the computer and in my Jeep but haven’t really began to like most of it. It usually takes me a bit to like a new Em song, but I’m really not feeling it.
This is one of the best albums ever made. Every fan should own the original !
