Awesome! It takes talent, brains, and a lot of "the right stuff" to be a fighter pilot! Kudos to the pilot....these are the guys who keep this country safe.

Wouldn't do anything it would be past to soon to react. Just wouldn't want to feel a fart coming on when it happened.

Hey John. I just sort of stumbled on your page by looking to take a peak at that outrageous shot of an f-18 practically buzzing a detroit apartment building. But then I got called away and had to come back the page the next day, today actually. I then sort of checked out your site very briefly when I went to business and from there to dirtbags among us. I proceeded to read your post about people essentially doing various mooching tactics to various pieces of commercially created and owned media of yours. I am a an ex marine that many moons ago was an early web pioneer and then had some health and family catastrophes force me to sell my business early and help out caring for an uncle who I hired and then he got a rare brain disease and died in his early 50s. Sorry for the sob story but I figured you might like a bit context on who you are talking to. So my question is this. You seem to be a guy who has done substantial work blogging and working with all the social networking sties, and I appreciate you do not do it with dirtbag tactics and call others out who do. I was just curious if you could point me towards any books or other places even on your own site that have some good primers that will catch me up with the way people are building online content these days, including the thing you want to watch out for and thing you do not want to because you might be infringing on others. I ask because this is something you care about and so here I am saying I accept that you that are working in the field type of authority, how would you teach someone to get their own content online in a way that is smart for them but does not make then engaging in dirty doer practices.
I will admit that I have not had the time to really cull through all of your site so there may be much here already that answers the question I just asked, but I hope you take this as complement that i am even corresponding with you to get your advice. I certainly do not expect you to do any more than is convenient for you answering my question, and regardless I just want to say thanks for some of the great photo posts and I hope you business is successful without too many moochers to trifle with.

Cheers,
Rob @ Andydfrain

You think that's close? Try being on the flight deck of an aircraft carrier while those things are landing and launching all around you. Of course, this is Detroit, where the closest they usually come to something like this is a guy carjacking a Firebird and then launching it off an overpass.
This is what I would do:
1. Stand there, awestruck, and thinking of ways to kill the pilot out of jealousy (I wanted to be a pilot, bad eyesight)
2. Kick myself in the butt, after the plane was out of sight, for not bringing the video camera out onto the balcony with me.
3. Go wake up my wife. That woman can sleep through anything.
