I’ve been busy wrapping up a little vacation time. I took a little vacation to celebrate the best month of the entire year. Early in December I made a decission to finally unload one of the biggest payroll drains I have ever come accross or had the dis-pleasure of working for me over the last 20+ years of being a Manager/Business Owner.
 I moved forward by placing an ad in a local newspaper and before I knew it I had an entire days worth of interviews filled with people that would fill the payroll drain area. I mean working and running a Tanning Salon is pretty simple in my opinion, it takes a little self motivation and passion for success. All of the people interviewed had that which made me confident I would walk away much happier than ive been with things since July. I mean imagine a chance to hire someone that actually wants to work, doesnt mind working and doing the things needed to run a business and being able to do that in such a short search time.
Only challenge I had in front of me at that point was removing the previous person from their position and of course the company, there’s no sense wasting more time. When much to my excitment on the same day I hired someone to fill a HUGE void the person that was being replaced gave their 2 weeks notice. I thought life couldnt be any better, but in fact there was one last bonus for me…. The “cherry on top” the person being replaced last day of work was going to be on New Years Eve! What a better day for me to fill the very empty spaces and kick off the New Year?!?
I am certain that the one leaving was just as happy about it as I was… Well I doubt that, it was something I knew was inevitable and honestly woke up daily thinking about, but I wanted to wait till the perfect timem when I wasnt as busy and that perfect time came. So to that “employee” I wish them _____ the best of luck and if that person got a position anything like the one they heald before they will need every bit of that luck and maybe some prayers. Like the saying goes… “Fuck me once shame on you. Fuck me twice SHAME ON ME.”
