Gameworks closed for business in Tampa abruptly yesterday without warning to any of it’s associates or the good peeps in downtown #Tampa. The closing of Gameworks stinks for more reasons then just the obvious fact that now 50+ people are out of a job and half a block in Ybor City is nothing more then a memory, oh yeah it also stinks because I finally went to Gameworks for the first time last week.

It looks like the Tampa Gameworks closing down wasn’t the only Gameworks that closed down yesterday, in total seven locations ceased business operations. As a small business owner I hate seeing any business go out of business, especially something as rare as Gameworks in this area of Florida because there are no Dave and Busters and the kid friendly places to drink in Tampa are limited. The same can be said for Pinellas County or and the part of Palm Harbor #Florida we live in.

Are there any indoor bounce house places in your area? I’ve seen a couple by me and thought it would be cool to have outdoor water slides for the summer months.

Yeah, I don’t like to see small business close down, especially when they do it out of the blue and they owe me money. One has to wonder if it was their fault or because of the economic downturn. In my situation the owner was a lousy businessman.

I only went one time and it was last year for my cousins 21st Bday. I LOVED it! I am the type that could play Skee-ball for hours! Sad sad sad :/

That really sucks that Gameworks closed just due to the sheer job loses. I remember going there when i first came to Florida. Treasure Island has arcades and other things to there if you need a good place to take the kids.

@sangalicious1, I never even thought of that place, for some reason it always makes me think of kids birthday parties.
