It’s not very often here on Extreme John that I write articles about fishing or catching fish, let me be clear here in saying that I HATE fishing, but love catching fish. I have only been out on a few fishing trips before and I was always lucky enough to catch fish as opposed to just sitting in a boat roasting out on the water.
A good friend of mine, Sang is constantly going fishing off the Florida coast in the Gulf of Mexico, and he fishes in some deep water for some monsterous fish along with his cousins. Sang recently mentioned to me that he had reeled ina massive Goliath Grouper on one of his most recent trips, I of course that that sang was talking smack.
Sang and my other good friend James quickly smacked me back into reality when they informed me that Sang’s cousin posted the video of Sang catching a Goliath Grouper on You Tube. It took me a little while to get around to checking out the video which I included below, and when I did I was amazed that Sang the scrawny little feller could brawl with a Goliath Grouper from the deep Florida seas and actually win.

Goliath Grouper Video
For the animal lovers and legal folk that read the Extreme John blog it’s important to note that Sang did not keep the fish, it is a crime here to even remove a Goliath Grouper from the water.
After seeing Sang reel in his Goliath Grouper I had the chance to talk with him about it over the weekened, we ended up bringing up more of Sang’s wild fishing videos which provided a ton of laughs. I will be posting more of Sang’s fishing videos on here because they are bad ass and give you a good idea of some of the crazy fish in the Florida waters.
If you enjoyed Sang’s Goliath Grouper fishing video take a minute to leave a comment, than be sure to subscribe to my RSS feed so you know when I post Sang’s next fishing video. Have a great weekend!
Oh yeah real quick, it’s Friday be nice and Stumble, Digg, Retweet on Twitter or share it on Facebook to help keep the traffic flowing over the weekend
You know ya wanna!

Thankyou@ Roseli, Natestah,Mikey, and Big John. My back was definately hurtin the day after. The goliath grouper is estimated to be around 100lbs,and is an endangered species. This video is my Pride and Joy even though I was grunting like a little girl, it was a blast!

Hate fishing but love catching fish??? Hahaha. I can relate to that. My grandparents had two big fishponds. We love it everytime it’s catching season, but trying to wait for a fish, well, it’s just not something I enjoy doing. I love the part though where the fishing line moves crazy and you know you got something!

@Liane YoungBlogger yeah for some reason I don’t doubt that plenty of people share the same feelings we do about “fishing”. I would rather be catching.
