I spent a few minutes knocking off some of the blogs in my feed reader when I came across what I thought was some pretty shocking news in regards to iBlogzone being put up for sale by the blogger that runs it, DiTesco. I was pretty surprised by the news because he has been working pretty hard on his blog and really has something nice going on over there, the site has a personality so even if he sold it the blog would probably never be as good.
Anyway, this prompted me to check out a link to Biz Information.org that DiTesco had included in his blog post about his blog being for sale, Biz Information gives you a free evaluation of what your website is worth. Who wouldn’t love to know what their blog is worth?
BOOYAKA! Yeah, thats right Extreme John.com one of the worlds most useless blogs written by an egomaniac that still has yet to figure out how to spell some of the most basic words is worth $1.18 million bitches! A blogging CEO that writes blog posts about nothing is killing it, I guess DiTesco’s right on target it might be time to sell this blog about nothing and take a trip to Las Vegas.
O.k, now that I finished my journey into outer space I should probably get back to earth. I have no idea what Extreme John is worth, I guess it’s value depends on how important the blog is to me in regards to promoting my business’s and products. Personally I think sites estimating the value of your site often spoils the economy online since a lot of people will try this and actually belie their site is worth it.
Sure, they will most certainly have less viewers and only be estimated for a few hundred dollar, but still. Even though it is humoristic for us who knows how much something is worth, I still think they should add a warning or something similar on the site.
