I have to be honest here I am in no fucking mood to write a post right now and I certainly don’t give two shits about discussing how devestated the sport of Boxing is now thanks to MMA. Instead I will spend a few minutes ranting about the fact that Boxing, and the morons that handle it are a complete disgusting pathetic ass joke.
I might as well paint a quick picture for you about why I am so pissed off tonight, I was out to dinner with the family, the kids and some friends. We went to dinner around 4:30 which gave me plenty of time for the upcoming Jeff Lacy fight which is happening right over here at the Sundome. I figured hey let’s hit some dinner and I can be home in time for the fight and to see someone we know hopefully begin their comeback, Jeff Lacy. He has a fight tonight.
I finish up dinner and drinks and run my ass home as quick as possible, I mean shit it’s getting close to fight time and I do not want to miss one single punch. I rush in the house, I have to pee from all of the beer I slid down my throat while we were out at dinner. I rush to my computer and I check Direct TV to see which pay per view channel the fight was on so I could order up and get involved. Nope, not on pay per view…. O.k no biggie must be on Showtime or HBO or something……… Nope nothing. Boxing sucks and the coverage of Boxing sucks, add in that the promoters suck ass too.
I must be going crazy at this point, now Im getting hostile… Maybe I will check google and see what I can come up with or what kind of information I can find, I mean this is a former world champion, how hard could it be. Immposible thats how hard it can be! Nothing on google except a bunch of old ass information about Jeff Lacy and his previous fights, nothing current, no news no information… no anything useful. Bottom line if Boxing wasn’t dead shit like this will kill it faster than you can say “Rear naked choke”. I will be very clear when I say, if this fight was on TV it shouldn’t be that hard to find. Beyond pathetic, if the end of the sport of Boxing wasn;t near anytime soon it just arrived a lot faster. Have no fear though tomorrow night there will be another Mixed Martial Arts event, it will be free and televised on Showtime and it will not be that hard to find at all.
The fact and the point behind this entire thing is that everyone keeps crying and pissing and moaning that Boxing is dead and MMA is killing it, maybe we should re-think about that situationa and maybe instead of Boxing being killed by MMA…. Maybe the shitheads that run it are killing it. Thanks for nothing Boxing promoters, I appreciate wanting to continue being a fan and wanting to see the fights it’s pretty sweet I can’t see them on local TV, PPV TV or any other form of anything useful. Hello John, The post is nice but, Boxing is a great game, some may like it and some mayn’t, Anyway I would like to give voice for both peoples.
