If you’ve been using Google+ for some time, you’ll know where I am going with this and if you’re fairly new to the G+ social network, take the time to read this as it will help you enjoy Google+ just that much more.
As you know, Google+ was launched not too long ago and their biggest selling point per se was the “circles” feature which allowed users to add other users into specific circles. This essentially allowed you to not only sort the content in your “stream” but allows you to control who reads what posts you make. You don’t need your boss or acquaintances reading about your family adventure over the weekend, so you add them to a separate circle. As you can see, Google Plus circles work both ways.
To help keep your stream and “friends” a bit more organized, you can setup a circle for the new G+ brand pages. As with Facebook, thousands of worldwide brands you know, such as Coca Cola, have made it to Google+. If you’re anything like me, you don’t want to have your feed littered with updates from these companies daily or even hourly as some of them post.
First, you’ll want to head on over to your Google+ Circles Page.
If you hover your mouse over the circle on the bottom left that reads “Drop contacts here to create a new circle,” you’ll notice the text changes to “Create Circle.” Here you can create your new circle and name it “Brands” or whatever you desire. I personally chose Brands just to keep it simple.
Now just go ahead and add your favorite brands to your new G+ circle. You can keep your Google+ stream clean and still enjoy your favorite brands posts when you want! If you tend to follow quite a lot of people on social networks, be sure you’re taking full advantage of the circles feature within G+ so that you can better interact with those who you follow and also follow you.
Parting Shots
Now before I get out of here it’s time for me to hit you with a link to the Extreme John Google+ Brand Page. It’s no secret I’m a huge fan of G+, I’m not sure how I feel about managing another “brands” page but it looks like I’ll have no choice. I’m willing to bet that Google will enforce the “names policy”, which means I would have no choice but to use my Google+ Page instead of my personal Google+ account.
If you decide to add my brand page to your new brand page circle please consider visiting my http://www.extremejohn.com/plus/, doing so will let me know that you added my brand page and will help me add connect with you about the topics you enjoy most.

Hey John cool write up. I created the Blog Engage page but I haven’t really done anything with it yet. I don’t this I really know what to do with it. I’ve created the Facebook group and not I have the Google plus group but at the end of the day are they really even helping me? Perhaps it’s time I sit back and put my thinking cap on and think of ways in which I can make this work for us. Anyways I have added your group to my Blog Engage Circle. You know I’m loving it.

I agree with you that it’s more convenient to use Brands than circles. You know, in my mind we haven’t already tried all its benefits, cause it appeared not so long ago. More over I do think that in some time Google developers will add something or change something
