How to Apply for Access to HootSuite Google+ Pages

by Extreme John on November 15, 2011

News is starting to funnel through the social interwebs that HootSuite, a social media manager for business users can now post and monitor Google+ brand pages. I have mixed emotions about HootSuite connecting with Google+ as a manager for the growing social networking site by Google.

Somewhere in the back of my crazy mind I think that Staggr.it might have that shot somewhere in the future. Huh?!?? OK, for those of you that don’t know, Staggr.it is a social media manager for small business owners that I’ve had in development for a few months now. I know, hardly at the HootSuite and Google+ level, but it’s always nice to dream.

Use HootSuite to Manage Google+ Pages

I’m sure there’s a few of you that read my blog on a daily basis that would like to apply for access to use HootSuite to manage Google+.

Third Party Management Tools for Google+ Pages

HootSuite isn’t going to be the only game in town. Google has a page that lists numerous third party management tools for Google+ pages.

OK, back to the races…

I signed up, though I was under the impression you had to be a Hoot Suite Enterprise user (I’m a Pro user). Either way, the feature should be rolled out to all users relatively soon which is awesome news!

I have been using HootSuite to manage Twitter and Facebook Pages, and it works great. I’m not sure about G+, but I’m sure HootSuite knows what they’re doing. I’m definitively going to test it.

Thanks

That’s pretty cool. I use hootsuite to connect my blog and articles to ping.fm and various social networking sites, so it’s good to see some connectivity with Google+ Thanks for the tip!

Sounds great, good luck and thanks for commenting. It looks like it’s still only Enterprise customers, all though I did receive an email from someone on the HootSuite team today in regards to having a phone meeting next week. I’ll hopefully follow up with that here.
