When your so use to doing something  certain way or your mind is stuck thinking about something being a certain way you often miss the true reality, this is often the case when we look at our business blog designs and blog designs with blogging blinders on. It’s important to take a step back (or in this case notice the obvious), take off your blogging blinders and take a look at the situation from a different perspective.

This is one of those cases where I thought for sure I had all of my bases covered when it came to being accessible to people, I think being accessible in business is extremely important and the reality is that when it came to making myself accessible for others through my blog it was a big #fail. Sure, I have my social networking bases covered with my spiffy Facebook Fan Page and my information packed Twitter page where other Twitter users can shoot 140 character status updates @extremejohn and I will respond, you would be surprised how much business one can generate on accident on twitter. Regardless, as easy as it is to get me there it’s never been very easy to get me here on my blog, Extreme John.com.

That is until now.

I was surprised how effective having the simple contact page would be, I have to thank my bog Mike for setting it up for me while I was tied up doing the Extreme Tan and Smoothies TV Commercials. Within a few days of putting the contact me page in place I received two potential business leads, one of which will turn out to be a very good partnership in my opinion. I guess let the simple things be a lesson, get a contact page on your blog.

Catch you in a little while when I post the third commercial from the Extreme Tan and Smoothies commercial shoot, “The Perfect Tan”.

P.s. Congratulations Don Power for driving forward brother.

I noticed this yesterday and thought that maybe I had been
looking at your site with blinders,
I guess that answers my question.
Can’t wait to see the next TV Spot.

I couldn’t agree more. I think it’s one of the most important things to add to a site. Be it a blog or website. When I first started posting here I needed to contact you about some posting problems I was having and looked and looked trying to find out how to contact you, but never found it. Eventually I just gave up.

@Atlanta GA Real Estate, I would have to agree with you at this point now that I have seen readers already using it.

On a side note, you might want to change your comment username to an actual username then ad @ GA Real Estate after your name, example:

Louie @ GA Real Estate

it helps people connect to you, not to mention you get to take advantage of the KeywordLuv plugin I have installed here. :)

Hey you might want to disable comments on your contact page. It will give hat page a cleaner look. Also sometimes you will have some people leave a comment instead of using the contact form which sort of misses the point.

I would always prefer your Contact page to contact you whenever I need! I also believe that contacting through Facebook Private message is also a good idea though, but I try and avoid using Twitter DMs because most of the times they go neglected..

A suggestion: Disable comments on your Contact page
