Get more Twitter followers
I spent most of the day sitting around and doing a bunch of nothing, one thing I did manage to do was go through some of the Tweets my Twitter Friends were posting and click on links. I came across a few excellent articles and certainly plenty of articles about Twitter, and Google. One of the links I clicked on was posted by @thebadblogger and featured a site by Xavier Media that helped increase your Twitter followers. I briefly wrote about the service the other day at which point I literally just entered my name on thier site to test it out. I also did one other thing right around the time that I setup my account on XavierMedia, I visited Twitter Counter to see what they offered there and added my name to that site as well.

Now it’s only been a few short hours since I did both of the things I listed above at which point the following info was displayed in regards to my twitter account.

In just a few short hours I decided to jump back on Twitter Counter and update my counter to see where it was at, now I am not sure if the growth in Twitter followers is do to Xaviar Media or Twitter Counter. This might even just be a strange Saturday spike in Twitter followers or something that will be short lived but one thing that is certain is that my Twitter Followers have increased tremendously in a very short period of time. Here is the detailed info from my most recent visit to Twitter Counter.

This is very informative John. Thanks. I am trying to find twitter followers, but I find it too difficult to achieve.
@Faso just keep working at it and build your network it will be worth it for you down the road as Twitter continues to grow.

It was initially one of those things I was scepticle about when I first visited the site, I am happy to say I haven’t recieved a ton of spam from the company and it does offer stat tracking so you can track the different levels of the people they have referred to Twitter and the people that those people referred to Twitter.

I think it is too difficult to have twitter followers. The only way is to be very famous like you. If you are like me there is no way someone follow you.
@Basios I am hardly famous I just work at finding people that might have the same interests as I do so that I can follow them and see what they Tweet about.
I haven’t completely understood how it works, but since it is on autopilot I am gonna try.
@Roklia give it a shot who knows you might come to like it and increasing your Twitter followers can become a lucrative business move with the right hard work and consistency.
Let’s say I have many twitter followers. Why it is important? Does it mean that I will have more traffic in my blog?

Not really a big fan of it. Almost all of the people that its setup to follow are related to their site, plus they automatically set it up so that it automatically follows those people via your phone. Not so excited about the 5am text message I got from them so I deleted those users.
@mike hmmm not sure about the phone thing I have not received one message from any follower or from the company about anything. You might also be surprised how many people in that list that is aimed at their site also stay active on Twitter and find your site and topics interesting. Devils Advocate.

I am in the midst now of trying Twitter. So far been bombarded with spam are there not any “real” people out there?

@Scott ya know it’s like most things on the internet, but yes I can assure you there are real people out there to interact with. Have you tried the search feature to find people with similar interests to you?

I don’t understand the rush to obtain followers that are not relevant to your blog’s theme. I have many interesting blogs that syndicate posts to my twitter followers in certain vertical markets. I am a newbie to this but someday I hope to actually make money via twitter, but only by providing a valuable service.

@Leisure Advertising I would have to agree, it’s the same theory that fuels people on My Space to want a billion friends, which is now of course spreading to Facebook as well. Having useless followers generates useless results.
