You may remember not too long ago I mentioned in one of the business blitz articles that Facebook was now allowing the ability to tag public pages in photos. This new advancement is not only great news for small business owners but it’s also great news for their marketing departments too because it’s an awesome and free way to get the word out about your product or business. While I only just touched on the topic of tagging public pages in photos during the Business Blitz article, I wanted to come back and do a little step by step to show you how to tag pages in Facebook.

Tagging Public Pages in Facebook

Tagging public pages in Facebook is an easy process that really doesn’t take much doing once you know how. If you have ever tagged a Facebook picture before then you will know how to do this right away.

Step 1: Log in to your Facebook account.

Step 2: Upload or find the picture that you want to tag a public page in. Open the picture in your Facebook.

Step 3: Underneath the picture you will see a link titled “Tag this Photo” click this link and then draw a box around the area of your photo that you want to tag. After drawing the box a search box will appear, begin typing the name of the public page that you want to tag in the picture and select the page name.

You have now tagged a public page in a Facebook photo!

I like the Facebook tagging options but they need to make them work more seamlessly in regards to privacy settings because most users get so frustrated trying to tag Facebook Pages, especially from Mobile devices.

No doubt it’s effective low cost marketing, but it does take a fair amount of time and tremendous amount of effort.
