I have a little extra time today to post about something a little different we are currently doing in one of our small business’s. As many of my daily readers and Facebook fan page fans know I am the founder of a few small business’s and often post information here on my blog about the business’s we own and operate on a daily basis. I post things about our small business’s as a way to help other small business owners and of course to help drive our business’s and create exposure. Free advertising to some degree.
Today I want to share something fun that we are doing at Extreme Tan and Smoothies, all though I personally feel it’s for a much greater cause than anything that has to do with Extreme or any other indoor tanning salon company. Anyone that truly knows me and those of you that subscribe to my rss feed and read my blog on a daily basis has a pretty good idea of how heated I can become when discussing the governments attacks on indoor tanning over the last two years. At times they would probably say I am at the very least….. PASSIONATE!
What makes me passionate about the attack on indoor tanning beds is the lack of common sense used when even considering attacking tanning beds to begin with. Bottom line, there are more people exposed to damaging uv rays OUTDOORS on a daily basis than there are tanners tanning in tanning beds. Period, that’s common sense. So many basic arguments that have all been said before, much like what I just said….. they all require common sense to understand.
Sorry, I couldn’t help myself. Anyway, we decided that we wanted to increase education amongst parents and children about the dangers associated with not protecting your skin from harmful uv rays. We came up with the idea for a safe tanning advocate that kids can relate to……
Safe Tan Sam
Poor education amongst adults in regards to the dangers of the sun mixed with a lack of sense of urgency on the part of the government when it comes to safe tanning practices in schools is where the real damage is done. Safe Tan Sam will work as a friendly face to children and parents, look for Safe Tan Sam on the beaches with free SPF for kids and in schools spreading a safe skin care message.

Hello Extreme John! Hmmm.. What can I say? Good luck and may God bless your project. It will surely help the people, most especially the kids, as we all know are always exposing their skin under the heat of the sun without applying lotion or protection from UV rays.
The poster of “Safe Tan Sam” illustrates that the kid has no worries at all of exposing his skin underneath the sun because he is already have the protection from damaging UV rays. And I know, that this will be the result after you educate the parents and the kids.
