Is it really THAT bad?
Everyday I come in contact with a bunch of different people, as I am sure most of you do. Some people are people your friends with or people that you have known for a long time but your still forced to talk to, some are people you just meet of the street, regardless everyone has their own thing going on.
What always seems to get me, or one thing that I don’t understand and I never will is how people’s moods change so fast. I mean don’t get me wrong, sure everyone has a bad day or something that happened that sucks in their life. I am more than an understanding guy, I mean if someone loses a family member or is struggling with money or having some kind of family problem I will be the first one to say without a doubt that warrants a big giant mood swing or some “Down Time”.
Than there are the people you come in contact with that one minute they are fine, and the next minute something has crawled up their ass. Now with these people you sit there and kind of wonder, “What the fuck just happened?” Of course it’s not like you can ask these people what possibly crawled up their ass because most of the time they will just tell you nothing is wrong (as if your an idiot and can’t see something is different). I am sure that there is a reasonable explanation for the actions of people, regardless it doesn’t help make any more sense to me and I will tell you exactly why. The person that has that quick giant mood swing for what appears to be no good reason is clearly bent about “something”. Here’s my basic question, How bad is it really? Is it really THAT BAD that it instantly effects your mood? Is it something that can’t be resolved or discussed?
Everyone has mood swings, thats a given but I bet if people stopped and really asked themselves if it is really THAT BAD they will find that it’s often not and their mood swing really had no place in the current situation. It’s like the person your always excited to see but for one reason or another when you express the excitement they react with no true emotion. Or the person that when they are in a great mood they want to be up your ass, or if your doing something for them they want to be up your ass, but the minute thats not the case they sit in the corner all cranky and fucking pouty about god knows what. I wonder if these people even realize that at some point the same attention they are striving for with their mood swing and whatever else will be the attention they will continue to crave when people no longer give a shit what they are moody about.
The fact remains that humans are way more wrapped up in themselves to really give a shit about someone else’s problems anyway. Asking someone nowa days, “Whats wrong.” in most cases seems like a rhetorical question that no one really gives a shit to hear the answer to. I have worked with some people that had some of the nastiest mood swings on earth, especially in the morning because “They are cranky when they first wake up”. Dealing with people like that is never a joy and in most cases everyone else that works with those people can’t stand them which kind of defeats the purpose of the mood swing in the first place. No one has mood swings because they want people to think their a raging dick all the time, they have them typically because of small issues that arise. If those cranky ass morning people, the mood swing monsters and the typically cranky people would stop and ask themselves if it’s really that bad they will see that it isn’t. At which point we could all hope that those very same people would reduce some of their mood swings when they realize it really is NOT THAT BAD.
