This might turn out to be a record slack off day for me today, I mean seriously I am about to write about a Jennifer Lopez sextape only a few short hours after writing my opinion on the Carrie Prejean sextape situation, I must have really gone insane.
I find it pretty interesting that celebrity sex tapes can spark so much excitement amongst celebrity gossip lovers, personally I don’t mind a little celebrity gossip from time to time. The sextape stuff doesn’t really interest me all that much, I would rather see a hot model fall on a runway or Brad Pitt drag his motorcycle across the side of a car, that’s entertainment!
Headline News and Entertainment Tonight are really the ones calling it a “sextape” to begin with, I had to roll with it because it stuck in my head. For the sake of keeping this post somewhat short in nature I will fill you on the J.Lo sex tape that the celebrity sites are talking about.
Basically one of J.Lo’s ex-husbands has a video of Jennifer Lopez in panties, lingerie and maybe even some nude Jennifer Lopez video as well. BUUUUUUT word on the streets (as if I’m connected) is No sex on this “sextape”. The reason this is even coming up is because the loving EX wants to put the video of Jennifer Lopez in his new movie about their relationship, of course J.Lo doesn’t want the video in his movie, hence the big buzz.
Now let’s get down to the reason I even wrote this post, have I lost my mind or is something seriously screwed up with these types of situations? I’m not talking about the sextape being released or even made, I am talking about the fact that someone even has the right to include that video footage in a MOVIE? Does that really sound legal?
Now keep in mind that I am one of those people that “assumes” that every celebrity sex tape that gets leaked is purposely leaked by the individuals involved for publicity purposes. Regardless of how old the concept might be getting it seems that celebrities and celebrity wanna-bes still love the idea of making the celeb sex tape scandal route.
I guess I find it more interesting writing my opinion about some of the things that surround the situation more so than I like writing about the actual event itself. @Ms. Freeman, yeah there’s no doubt she can use a little “boost” in the news, she hasn’t done anything in recent times worth discussing.
I guess it was an investment move. He took the footage and stored it for a rainy day when he needed some cash. It’s kind of a douche bag way to get publicity but the celebs are really milking the hell out of it.
@Alan @ Glass Pipes, yeah I guess it’s a win win because they are getting the publicity and there hasn’t been anything to surface more than a rumor.
I am not that interested in seeing J.Lo in such a scene.
The question that hit my mind is this: If you have a lover why would you tape her and keep the tape for years? I mean, doesn’t that looks like some sort of obsession? Weird maybe?

@Extreme John, Yeah you’ve got a point here. But I guess having a couple of normal photos could be enough.
Besides, if you’re just a regular dude and you have the luck to hook up with a celebrity, it’s a very clear thing that sooner or later you’ll get dumped. Unless you’re in some way special like a poet or something or just a mean F@*!ing machine that she can not have enough of, which… is kinda sci-fi. In fact more fi than sci.
And in the end you get dumped after she drained your batteries. That’s ok. Sh!t happens. But get over it! I mean why would somebody want to save a record with a former lover who dumped you in the first place? Just to remember yourself how much of a looser you’ve been in her eyes?
Mmm… No. It’s more like revenge. “So you think I’m a looser huh? I’ll teach you a lesson for that!” This kind of thing.
However such a tape might prove in some cases like a very good insurance policy. “Hey baby, I love you, but just in case you dump me, let’s make a sex tape, just in case…. ” Would you expect her to say “Ok, let’s do it!” ?

I definitely want to see the Carrie Prejean tape but I will pass on the J LO. Not a fan of the junk in the trunk type booty. Never found her as hot as everyone else.

@sangalicious1, it’s a documentary about their marriage which I can only imagine was beyond boring, hence the fantasy of holding on to the tape for years.
Her husband has 11 hours of home videos, including some of J.Lo naked and getting spanked. It’s unclear if there is actual sex on the tape, but given the fact that this guy will go to any lengths to make a buck off of his 1 year marriage ten years ago.
I would love to see Lopez be publicly embarrassed, she really needs to be taken down a peg or two, but this first husband of hers needs to cut it out. There’s only so much he can try and pull to cash in a long-over marriage. I think she another Madonna who used people to get ahead and once she sucked them dry she dumps the husk.

Well, I don’t have much fascination with celebrity sex tapes. Titillating as they can be, there’s not much detail. And, as John said, the eyes, lips, etc are what makes a woman beautiful. Those details are likely not very clear in a home-made sex or spanking or whatever tape. Up close and personal is the way to view.

This is shame.In my point of view this kind of sinful activity by a real life super star is considered to be a black spot for our society.They have their personal life and they have full right to do anything but they have to be more cautious for their activities.
I wouldn’t go anywhere to see it. The girl is played out for me. Really, what’s the big deal anyway? The hottest women in front of the cam are not celebrities. Plus, the net is fat with porn. It’s not a sextape if there is no sex. Besides, I wouldn’t be too interested even if there was sex in it. I don’t find Jennifer Lopez all that attractive. At least not as much as most guys think. Shes a 7 at best.
