Kobes Steakhouse Review and Pictures

by Extreme John on January 13, 2009 |

One of my favorite places to go out to eat is Kobe’s Japanese Steakhouse in Clearwater, Florida. It’s one of those places where you sit at this giant table with a grill in the middle of it and some crazy guy comes out and cooks your food in front of you. I call them crazy because they always do some kind of crazy thing like turn a pile of onions into a volcano or throw shrimp tails in their hat.

Our cook doing his thing at Kobes in Clearwater

We took Andre the Ford F-650 Limo up to Kobe’s it’s really not that far from our house but my brother and his family had not seen any of the Limos yet. The Food at Kobe’s is always amazing and they always treat us excellent there, the menu seems to constantly be changing too which is nice.

Thanks to Joey in Arizona (good friend of mine) I heard about these Sake Bombs, I never did one with him any of the 100 times he begged me to or tried to get me to. For some reason when I was there with my Brother the last time, and by some reason I mean I was really already fuckin smashed. I decided to do a Sake Bomb with my Brother, My Cousin and Her Husband Bill and jesus was that thing nasty as hell. I think we did a few that night, but enough about that time and let’s get back to this time. Yeah Sake Bomb’s again, I for some reason decided that it was important to get anyone new at the table to do a Sake Bomb.

Whats in a Sake Bomb? Here’s what’s in a Sake Bomb as listed on Wikipedia.

1 Pint of Beer
1 Shot of Sake

The shot of sake is dropped into the beer, causing it to fizz violently. The drink should then be consumed immediately.

Frozen Ice Cream at Kobes Japanese Steakhouse

From crazy ass Sake Bombs to some of the best grilled Fillet, Lobster Tail and Chicken you can eat I always have a great time at Kobes Japanese Steak House. I will be posting the After Kobe pictures from when we went over to Freaki Tiki for some drinks and where the other Insane Limos were at. When it comes down to it if your ever in the Clearwater Florida or Tampa Bay Area, Kobe Steak House is top notch be sure to have a Sake Bomb and scream, “EJ, EJ, EJ…” before you do it.

This place definitely rocks! We’ve got one but its a decent drive – still hit it up at least a few times a year!

I’m still in love with BD’s though :)

I knew right what you were saying about the “crazy guy”
They have a place like that in Key West they open/close but it’s an awesome spot
Unfortunately I’m stuck in San Antonio and I wish people like you were here.
I had tons of friends in Florida here it’s another story.
Anyway that’s some cool stuff interesting funny and clear :)

Keg of Wisdom, as much as I go to Orlando I really dont have any places that excite the hell out of me to eat at. There’s your Mortons Steak House which is kick ass but it’s not for everyone. Than there is a kick ass Buffet in the Gaylord Palms (breakfast, lunch, dinner) which is on the same street as Disney just on the other side of I4.

John, Yeah and for me it’s different here, I had tons of friends of in New York and here well I have a couple of GOOOOOOD friends and the rest, well. You need to get back to Florida, and I need to get back to New York. Haha. Problem is Im stuck here because of the Business’s ya know.
