I usually try to steer clear of this type of stuff on my blog and lean more towards the my boring everyday life’s bullshit, however after seeing Late Night with Jimmy Fallon I had no choice. I like Jimmy, he’s my boy… Good stuff. There’s no way you will ever catch me missing Weekend Update with Tina Fey and Jimmy Fallon and there’s no way Im going to miss Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, I mean seriously bastards it’s Jimmy… Remember… Good Stuff…. Well unless your talking about Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, there’s nothing that is “Good Stuff” about the Late Night with Jimmy Fallon show… Sorry Jimmy nothing.
Now I am a big fan of giving a show a chance, let them do some quick recovery and see where they can turn this Late Night with Jimmy Fallon around and into something that is actually entertaining. I have to be honest here… this is exactly what needs to happen because as of right now the Late Night show is nothing more than a snooze fest that is meant to keep you busy until you watch Carson Daily. My big problem is that Carson Daily is so skelatel at this point that I can’t watch his show, and no matter how much I appreciate Carson’s support of new music and music at any level and the way he has integrated that into his show… bottom line is if Im watching Jimmy Fallon it’s not because I am excited to see Carson Daily and Im willing to sit around. Again Im not a huge fan of Carson to begin with and now that he looks like some flesh slapped on a bone or two hardly makes me like him anymore and having Jimmy open for him with such a snooze fest just wrecks the entire experience for me.
At some point Im going to hope that someone steps in that has a creative mind and let’s Jimmy Fallon either be himself or be someone funnier than himself than this show will be canceled most likely before it ever gets off the ground. The sad reality is that Jimmy’s show lacks the very thing that I think it needs at this time with the Economy getting ready to make a slow turnaround, it needs truth, honesty and a good effin laugh. Problem is that Jimmy’s set is drab, it looks like it’s time for me to go to bed when I see it…. “Embrace the bed EJ”, except sometimes when Im watching late night talk shows I dont want to Embrace shit except some hysterical laughter and Jimmy’s show all tight waded up by NBC is hardly going to offer anything that I need to not turn the channel. I mean let’s face it just before watching that I woke up to some crap on Cinemax that had naked hot chick after naked hot chick pretending to do some terrible things with strangers….. I changed for this shit? I changed to watch Jimmy Fallon have some jack ass spray shaving cream on his head to see if it could reach 7″ high??? Naked chicks!!! Doing bad things!!! Nope instead im watching Jimmy try to find something to chuckle about with the dude from “How I met your Mother”, and trust me there was nothing to chuckle about.
Jimmy baby I love ya but you better get your shit together because I refuse to turn off hot chicks to watch you play shaving cream games with two nerds that created some made up “RECORD” site. It just wont work. I will offer a few pieces of advice to Jimmy Fallon and the kids over at NBC that will have to swallow a bunch of crap when this show hits the trash bin so pay close attention and if you guys need my help gimme a shout.
1) Get a new decorator, the shit wont work to keep me awake at night and actually makes me want to sleep.
2) Play better music during the breaks
3) Watch the Ellen show, all though she acts fake as shit she at least offers the fun, outgoing hapiness that people want to see and feel right now.. Not hear… FEEL, I said!
4) Your show just started pick some decent guests that will offer something edgy…. but REAL!!! People want REAL right now!
5) Last but not least…. Put ALL of the current writers on Final Notice and make them produce something that is actually funny. The current stuff that they are writing is not funny and the faster everyone at NBC realizes it the faster you guys can save this show.
Who knows… Maybe NBC will listen, just maybe Jimmy Fallon will get 30 minutes a night to actually be funny and not tuck me right into the sack. Chances are life will go on and Late Night with Jimmy Fallon will become that talk show that lasted a few minutes, but you can’t blame me for giving it a shot. Still working to be the last voice that bitches into the night and just wants a few people to be able to be themselves.

I saw the first episode with Jimmy, and I couldn’t take it. Yea, he was pretty good on SNL, but his show is seriously lacking. Now, it was announced that he would be taking over at least a year ago. In that time, it seems to me like he should have put together a great team of writers and have a lot of good material ready for his first run of episodes. Not the case. Was that DeNiro interview uncomfortable or what? I did enjoy The Roots as his band, though.

I gotta agree with ya man…I caught a few episodes and really I can’t say that I’m impressed…truthfully I’ve never been much of a fan of his after SNL….hope things work out for him…

Yeah you know the more that I think about it maybe I believed I liked Jimmy more on SNL than I really did, and this show certainly isn’t helping the cause. Where is Chris Farley when you need him.
