As most of you know I contracted A Sound Decision to do the Theater room and revamp the rest of the house for full constant HD picture on all TV’s in the house. Some of you close to me know that I have patiently been dealing with A Sound Decision and the owner Terry over the last five months in regards to the audio and video system they installed not working properly. This has gone on for a long time now, especially for a job that was suppose to be done on May 15th which would have met the 4 week time frame I was given by Terry and Natalie the owners. It’s now August 14th and I am still sitting and waiting for my custom audio video system to actually work 100% of the time at best it works 75% of the time at this point.

Today brought me closer to the edge and closer to the end of my patience with this entire matter. Today marks ANOTHER day that I have a house full of people and go to put on the system (which was their purpose of coming) and of course it doesn’t work. I call the A Sound Decision’s office directly, during business hours and….. NO ANSWER. I call the owner Terry on his cell phone directly……. NO ANSWER. I call the head installer Bobby…. NO ANSWER. Needless to say I am beyond pissed off so I send them the following email, an email in which THEY NEVER RESPONDED TO. I have to say for someone that has patiently waited for their equipment that was installed and the system we paid for to actually work this is hardly good customer service or support of the work you do.

Here is the email:

Hope everyone is doing well. I wanted to write a quick email
because honestly I have had it with this system being the way it
is for as long as it’s been this way.

Sure everyone rushes into action and fixes the immediate problem
at the moment and that’s great, but I am personally tired of
running around my house like an asshole trying to get shit to work
when in fact it should have worked 100% a long time ago instead of
being 85% or 95% for weeks. YET AGAIN I have a house full of
people and YET again I turn my system on and nothing but
problems.

Knowing the system needs to be reset and that will fix the
problems is one thing, but the system you spent a HUGE amount of
money on working how it actually should would be a hell of a lot
better. I turned on the TV in the family room again today and it
locked the entire system up, I reset the system NOT ONCE, NOT
TWICE but it took four times before I could actually get control
of anything anywhere in the house even after the multiple
restarts.

Plain and simple, enough is enough I don’t care if it’s B&K‘s
issue, I don’t care if it’s your issue I know for a fact it’s NOT
MY ISSUE. Bottom line is don’t do a job if you can’t do it and do
it the way it’s suppose to be done, and suppose to be done means
IT WORKS and it works each and every time. Im tired of being the
list writer, Im tired of being the patient guy, Im tired of
feeling like I am the pain in the ass with this and most of all Im
tired of every single time I actually go to do something I have to
jump through 150 hoops to get my shit to work. I want this system
working and I want it working 100%
, I don’t care what it takes on
you guys part I dont care if B&K has to come out and camp in my
backyard to get their shit to stop freezing and actually work.

I tried calling to get some help with this $100k+ piece of crap
system and no one is around to resolve any issues or offer any
support. People by cars for $21k and don’t go through the crap I
have put up with with this system
. Im not pissed on a personal
level Im not angry or hate anyone, I just want the system that was
installed to actually work… EVERY SINGLE TIME WITH NO BULLSHIT.
I want the issues resolved early next week, if they are not I
won’t be discussing this issue any further, nor will I be running
around my house like an asshole every time I have people over and
everytime I want to do something. And resetting my system
constantly is not an acceptable form of “It’s working” to me any
longer either.

I had a very simulair experience with A Sound Decision. A Sound decision still has not delivered the Rope Lighting for $750, the MRFA-600M wall dimmer for $1049.93, the Stewart Cinecurve screen for $10987, 1 of the Fathom 12″ subwoofers for $6000 i have paid for already. This leaves $18786.93 of undelivered equipment. I am awaiting their response on how they will service their customer that paid for items that have not been delivered.

Hey Matt that’s a pretty interesting story I appreciate you taking the time to share it with us, ASD really makes a customer work for it that’s for sure. Hopefully you get your stuff Matt, I recently saw one of their work vans on the road, so I guess they’re still giving it to customers every step of the way.

I received an interesting email which I can’t really disclose here, but if you use my contact form up top to email me I’ll forward the message to you it might be of interest in regards to getting answers or at least a refund.
