Live UFC 96 Results

ufc96_jackson_jardine.jpg The wait is finally over and it is time to see if my UFC 96 Predictions were decent or not when I post Live UFC 96 Updates and Live Results for every fight shown during the UFC 96 Pay Per View. As most of you know my predictions for the last UFC event were nothing less than terrible, keep in mind there were a ton of upsets that night (excuses). I will be posting ufc 96 updates live during the entire UFC 96 pay per view, which will include my play by play and review of each round as I saw it. I have even considered shooting video of a few of the key matches on the UFC 96 Fight Card and having Live UFC 96 Video Results but that will depend on how my hangover is coming along.

First fight of the night is Gray Maynard vs Jim Miller
Maynard is starting to deliver some nasty shots and Miller’s nose may be broken. Maynard looks excellent, especially in the striking game. Maynard easily takes the first round and Miller’s face is in bad shape.

Second round goes Maynard again and even though I didn’t think it was possible, Jim Millers face looks even worse than at the end of the first round.

Maynard was almost caught in what looked to be a nasty leg lock, Maynard escaped nicely and the fight is back on the feet. The third round was all Maynard again with complete domination on the ground and feet. Gray Maynard wins, Unanimous decision.

Matt “the Hammer” Hamill vs Mark Munoz live results:
Second fight of the night, and time to see if Matt Hamill is going to bore his way to a win/loss or if he will deliver an exciting fight.

Matt Hamill delivered a nasty right head kick knocking out Mark Munoz who is still knocked out cold as I type this. Matt Hamill by KO

Pete “Drago” Sell vs Matt Brown:
I am extremely excited that this fight made the pay per view, it should be a war and it’s up next.

Pete Sell got destroyed plain and simple, Matt Brown caught him right off the bat knocked Pete down and Pete never recovered, to the point that Matt Brown was asking the ref to stop the fight. Oh well for Sell. Matt Brown wins by TKO

Kendall Grove vs Jason Day results:
Jason Day is being agressive and attacking, Kendall is throwing some solid leg kicks as well. Kendall Grove catches Jason Day causing Day to hit the canvas, Grove drops in with some nasty elbows and ends the fight. Kendall Grove by TKO

Shane Carwin vs Gabriel Gonzaga live results:
Shane Carwin got rocked by Gabriel Gonzaga and taken to the ground, Carwin looked to be in trouble and somehow got back to his feet. Within seconds Shane Carwin delivered a nasty right knocking out Gabriel Gonzaga. Wow. Shane Carwin by KO

Quinton “Rampage” Jackson vs Keith “The Dean of Mean” Jardine Results:
First round was pretty slow paced however Keith Jardine counter punched excellent and struck often and fast with punches from odd angles and somewhat limited kicks. I would give the first round to Keith Jardine. Jardine does look very tired already though, Rampage looks frustrated.

Jardine was just knocked down but managed to get back to his feet, Rampage is starting to take control over the fight and Jardine’s lungs are starting to fade out on him. Jackson is rocked and they go toe to toe with 40 seconds left in the round.

Heading into the third round this is becoming the fight that most thought it would be, constant back and forth and heavy hands from both Jardine and Jackson. Final round coming up I think the rounds are split, deciding round coming up.

The third round went back and forth with Jardine being rocked again and both guys more than exhausted, Rampage’s conditioning looked better in the later rounds than I thought it would. In the final 6 seconds Jardine decided to go toe to toe and got caught again, he ended the round on his knees clutching Rampage Jacksons leg. Due that that final 6 seconds the fight will go to Quinton Jackson. Im waiting for the final judges cards.

Quinton “Rampage” Jackson wins by Unanimous Decision. I have to be honest here I don’t see where the judges came up with the Unanimous decision.

Brandon Vera vs Matt Pratt results
Brandon Vera is throwing some nasty leg kicks which are hurting Pratt in a big way, Vera is also being very aggressive tonight which is a nie change from his last few fights. This fight will most likely be over very soon, Vera continues to destroy Pratts legs with Leg kick after leg kick inside and out. A little over a minute to go in the first round. First round goes to Brandon “The Truth” Vera, and in dominating fashion.

This fight will be over here in a second… Ok it’s over, ref stopage Brandon Vera with brutal leg kicks. Brandon Vera wins by TKO
